I've made this thread because for the 1st time in 2 years I've developed feelings for someone who just started working at my job I work for a indoor Cycle studio at the front desk, and she is one of our new instructors we have exchanged numbers and have had a few interactions via text and in person but a few people who know her a little better than me tell me that she isn't interested In dating at the moment and I honestly get the same vibe, I'm always the one starting the conversations with her and she always replies nicely and politely but I get the feeling like she's not invested in the conversation, we have no hung out outside of work yet so all of my in person interactions have been fairly short. I'm kinda taking a step back from her as I don't want to over invest in someone who may not have any interest in me. But I would welcome any new advice

Having a crush on someone is great for inspiration! You might want to get to know her more. Don't feel bad if you are the one who always initiates conversations. It's totally fine, as men are natural to lead in relationships. If you are sure you want to pursue her. Go! You will never find out what will happen if you don't try. But take your time. You would want to pursue someone you really like.

Hey there, I understand you like her a lot and you are worried about how the interactions are going. I’m concerned when you say “I’ve developed feelings” when you barely know her and not went on a date with her yet. I think it’s a bad idea to ask about her with people who know her because she will end up knowing about it. I highly recommend to not spend too much time having texting conversations unless is to set plans because she will end up seeing you as a friend and at some point the conversations will get dry. You can’t afford to stay stuck on a crush for months without asking her out to see if she’s willing to go out.

Oh I should have clarified when I said I've developed feelings I meant since my 1st real heartbreak/break up 2 years ago I've met and interacted with women since but this girl's personality is something else(she's obviously physically beautiful as well) so that's what I meant

Oh and the people who know her better are actually my female friends/co workers. My crush is new in town so she made fast friends with my friends and they told me they got the vibe relationships/dating is a priority for her. And I've actually stopped texting her outside of work related matters so I only interact with her at work. So I have been putting some space between us both so I don't Over invest and to gage her interest in me specifically
