There's no guarantee that you're allowed to say it here, either There's a certain amount of random censorship throughout the site, including the forums. No logic to it. No harm meant by it. It's like the weather. Annoying at times but there's no sense in taking it personally. That's how I feel about it, anyway.

(Hmmm...I wonder if chats between therapists and their clients are censored too?)

It seems that listeners tend to use the block feature as the easy way out of a chat when they don't like the topic or whatever.

My understanding of the censors in a 1-1 chat is that they are built around a few key phrases to prevent things like sex chats, social media sharing, etc. They aren't perfect at catching everything, and often they can censor some phrases that weren't headed in that direction at all, but that's what they're there for. There is no formal list shared of what the censors are (mostly to avoid people knowing exactly how to get around them), but my guess is that not wanting to have sex isn't the phrase, but rather it was something like "want to have sex" that the system, being automated and not able to know the full context, read as potentially not okay and censored.

As to why there are censors in 1-1 chats but not in the forums, it's because there is a record of what is said in the forums, so if someone is trying to do something like initiate a sex chat, it can be seen and dealt with, whereas in a 1-1 chat, no record is kept, so there's no way to monitor or prevent issues. I know many feel that censors shouldn't be in place at all, and I won't argue whether or not they should be, but the reason they are there is an attempt at increasing safety for both members and listeners.
