3 Breathing Techniques and 1 Intriguing Question!
How has the week been for you?
I have been caught up with many things in life, and happy that Friday is finally here!
Menu for this weekend:
1. 3 breathing techniques to exercise this weekend to be used as coping tools when you feel overwhelmed:
- Push the Wall: Push against a wall with your hands, using as much upper and lower body strength as you can. As you are pushing, pay attention to your breathing. Do this for 10 seconds, let go and let your muscles relax.
- Wave Breathing: Covering your ears with your hands, take a long and slow breath in and out as you imagine waves rolling back and forth towards the shore. Listen to the sound of your breathing.
- Butterfly Hugs: Crossing your arms in front of you, hold the left shoulder with your right hand and right shoulder with your left hand. Do five times slow breathing in and out. And then, pretend your hands are butterfly wings, gently flap them against your shoulders for a minute or so.
Have you tried any of the breathing techniques above? If not, are there any of those you would like to try?
2. Question to ponder this weekend: What is trust means to you?
Have a wonderful weekend everyone π
Cheers and hugs!

1. Just tried waving breathing and butterfly hug! The later one made my body feel lighter while waving breathing felt really calming!
2. Trust to me means the assurance that whoever I'm trusting won't ever intentionally do something that hurts or harms me. πΈ
@cheerfulIceCream
Hehe... I agree the gentle taps from butterfly flaps make us feel light as if telling us "it's okay..."
And indeed wave breathing gives calming effect fast. π
A great point there, trust presents when enough assurance needed presents. Thanks for sharing your thoughts IceCream. Have a great weekend! π€
@ouiCherie
I hope that you too have a great weekend cherie! π€π
I have not tried these techniques but am looking forward to using them. I used to do balloon breaths and a lot of grounding exercises when I get overwhelmed.
Trust: this word carries so much meaning and weight. It is hard to earn and easy to lose. Having faith that the person youβre with isnβt gonna screw you over. Iβm struggling with this now
@modestPine7046
So sorry to hear that, may your struggles come to an end. β€
Take care
@modestPine7046
I'm glad baloon breathing and grounding technique has been helpful for you ans would love to hear how you find the other 3 techniques π
a key point to note: trust is hard to earn and easy to lose.
It is earned and not demanded. Patience to let it build naturally and wisdom to see the difference whether it just need more time to build or assurance needed to build trust never there.
Trust issue is indeed tough in a relationship specially when it had built once but lost in the way... hope you can get through the struggle soon *hugs* π Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@ouiCherie
1. These are amazing techniques that I believe must be included in our daily routine by all of us. As for me, wall push-ups and butterfly hugs are included in my daily workouts and it feels super awesome. How about ya? Have you tried these techniques yourself?
2. Trust means to be able to rely on someone blindly. If a person is trustworthy, there should arise no need for you to ask them to keep your secret to themselves and not to tell anyone else about it because you know that you can always count on them. With someone trustworthy, you don't feel unsafe or doubtful.
Thank you so much for this amazing post, dear Cherie! β€
@lyricalAngel70
Wow you have incorporated 2 of those in your workout routine. That's pretty cool! and yeah, good point there for us to make it a daily routine specially to unwind from a long day, i guess π
Yes, I love wave breathing hehe... specially when I'm home after work. The sound effect from hands covering the ears is awesome!
I love the point about trust you shared. It's indeed ability to be fully rely on someone. π thank you for the inspiration and thoughts dear Angel ππ€
@ouiCherie
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your kind and encouraging words! π
I am just learning from you to be as thoughtful as possible! ππ
To trust someone means that you can rely on someone, no matter what. That you share your deepest thoughts with, without holding back, A safe harbor.
As all things, trust starts within. If you at times doubt yourself, that might mean that you (temperarily) went astray from your true self.
Looking forward to trying these techniques
