My Faith
I am a spiritual person. I don't subscribe to any religions.
I believe in a higher power but not how the Bible declares it.
I try to be kind to everyone and treat them with respect.
I help others when I can.
I smile and say hi to passing strangers.
I try to be the best compassionate, empathetic version of myself.
I believe my purpose in life is to help others no matter how big or small.
And this is enough for me. 💜🫶🤗

Your compassion, kindness, and desire to help others are beautiful qualities. The world certainly needs more of them.
Yet human beings are more than creatures who simply do good deeds.
We wonder where we came from.
We are shaken by death.
We long for permanence in a world of change.
We seek justice even when it seems absent.
We do not want to lose those we love.
And deep within our hearts lives a longing for eternity.
Because of this, some questions continue to call for answers:
Who am I a guest of in this universe?
To whom do I owe gratitude for my existence?
Why was this life given to me?
What lies beyond death?
As Said Nursi expressed it: "Since the One who creates knows, and the One who knows speaks."
Kindness makes life beautiful. But understanding our Creator and our purpose gives life its deepest meaning.
Perhaps the greatest spiritual journey is not only becoming a better person, but also seeking to know the One who gave us existence in the first place.
@Rhiannon65 If there is a god, no matter who that god is, I would think they would be very proud of you. 💜
@Rhiannon65 I like what the Dali Lama says when asked what religion he belongs to. "My religion is kindness."
For me, soulsings, Acting ethically helps me to feel better.
