The Belief That Holds You the Most Gently!✨
Hey hey everyone, I’m currently exploring different communities here and something that I find most appealing about this one is how so many people share different beliefs and how much there is to learn from one another’s beliefs. ✨
What is a belief or teaching that wraps around you like a warm hug when life gets hard?
In our lives, we all face moments of loss, confusion, or emotional storms and sometimes, it’s a single spiritual belief or thought that keeps us afloat.
It could be a line from scripture or a holy book, A quote that brings you back to centre, A truth that comforts you in your deepest valleys, Or even something you discovered through your own inner healing. Each valid and worthy on its own. 💛
I’d love to hear from you all-
✨ What is the one belief, phrase, or spiritual teaching that gives you peace when you’re overwhelmed or distressed?
✨ Is there a mantra or quote that you silently repeat to yourself when no one else is around? Like a personal affirmation.
✨ How did you come across this belief, and how has it evolved for you over time?
✨ Does this belief connect to your faith tradition, a personal spiritual journey, or both? How does it make you feel?
Whether your beliefs are rooted in your religion, or you’ve learned things your way and/ or through walking on your spiritual path~ you’re welcome here and so is your belief and mantra. 💛

Its helpful to remember that we don’t have to agree or resonate with everyone always, but keeping our mind free and heart open to diverse perspectives with the gentle reminder that someone else has their own individual life experiences too, I think we can still learn more about people, their beliefs and may even find something that aligns with our own values and beliefs. ✨💛
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou knowing God loves me and that my son is safe in heaven brings me great comfort💖 the mantra I always tell myself when I'm feeling at my lowest is

✨ What is the one belief, phrase, or spiritual teaching that gives you peace when you’re overwhelmed or distressed?
“I am what He says I am—I am chosen, redeemed, and deeply loved. I can do what He says I can do—I can move mountains, walk in freedom, and overcome through Christ.”
✨ Is there a mantra or quote that you silently repeat to yourself when no one else is around? Like a personal affirmation.
“I can do all things through Christ—not because I’m strong, but because He is.”

Omigosh! So many beautiful quotes and verses! Your words radiate so much warmth and faith, Viccc! 🌞💖
The way you’ve woven scripture, personal affirmations, and your own journey together feels like a beautiful quilt of hope and strength really, super duper comforting cozy one hehe!
I love how your beliefs don’t just stay as ideas, they become living reminders when life feels heavy, like gentle anchors pulling you back to peace. During our lowest moments, it can be so powerful to be reminded about our faith and belief.
The verses you shared are so full of reassurance and empowerment, especially the reminder that we are deeply loved and cared for. 🥰 When you repeat “I can do all things through Christ,” it feels like such a strong yet tender way to meet challenges, not with pressure to be perfect, but with the steady trust that you’re not facing them alone. ✨🫂 Has there been a recent moment where one of these verses or affirmations helped you get through something? 🤗💖
I appreciate your eye for detailing and thoughtfulness in appreciating my effort here, it means the world to me! 🥹💖
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Thank youu, Sunshine! 🌞💖⊂(ᵔ◡ᵔ⊂)💗 Me thinks it is the heartfelt message you conveyed through your writings that encouraged me to reflect on the verses and strengthen my faith. ୧⍢⃝୨💗
Has there been a recent moment where one of these verses or affirmations helped you get through something? (●'◡'●)
I think it has been everyday these past year, that those verses helped me to get through everything that was not going right, whether they were smol challenges or big challenges, Sunshine 🌞💖ღ(´͈ ᵕ `͈ ღ)💗 because my current situation has been psychologically challenging. 🤗💖
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou That´s so nice, I´m currently exploring around too 😊
✨ What is the one belief, phrase, or spiritual teaching that gives you peace when you’re overwhelmed or distressed?
Give it to God and go to sleep. Saved me so many times. Had instances of being completely panicked about not managing to do something i needed for the other day, going to bed with this thought and then it getting resolved in my favor the next day.
✨ Is there a mantra or quote that you silently repeat to yourself when no one else is around? Like a personal affirmation.
I´m a roman catholic by faith, and i was always taught that everything happens for a reason and is good as it is. It always calms me to think about it when I´m panicking about things, thinking I ruined something or things aren´t going the way I want
✨ How did you come across this belief, and how has it evolved for you over time?
the question of fate was never really there for me, as i grew up in an actively practicing family, so I had the religion and fate as an important part of my life growing up. I am not the perfect Christian by any means, and I do have my better and worse times, but my conviction in my faith itself is strong and I always make sure to at least go to the church on Saturday evening or on Sunday unless i´m sick.
How about you?
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Im a Catholic and we believe in heaven, I think it's beautiful to know one day I'll be reunited with my loved ones.
My faith teaches love.
Mercy.
Compassion.
To help those most in need.
To speak out against injustice 💜💕
@Amanda84
Your responses are always so simple-sounding yet so much full of warmth and insight, Amanda! 🥰 I appreciate you!
That’s such a deeply comforting and hope-filled belief you shared. 💜 The thought of reunion with loved ones one day is like a light in the distance that can carry someone through even the hardest moments, I believe. And the values your faith teaches, love, mercy, compassion, helping those in need, speaking against injustice, they feel like such powerful ways of living that ripple out and touch so many lives. You do all of that here and are a powerful example for many! 💛
Ooh and thanks for reminding me about the Footprints poem, I remember coming across it long before and I know right?! It’s such a beautiful, uplifting reminder for us! 🥰
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Thank you for your kind words
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
There's a beautiful poem called Footprints, it shows that when we think we are alone and theirs only one set of footprints, it's because God is carrying us ♥️
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Mine is ‘This too shall pass’…I can first recall hearing it from my lovely nan (God bless you nan). I was going through a rough patch and was sharing how I felt about something with her. She always listened to me, and I do miss our chats 🌹
@RainbowRosie
Aww That’s such a tender memory, Rosie! 🌹 The way your nan listened and offered that simple phrase, it’s like she gave you both comfort and perspective in the same breath. “This too shall pass” feels even more powerful when it’s wrapped in the voice and presence of someone we love. I can imagine her words still echoing gently when life gets heavy for you. 🥹
Thank youuu for sharing, I cannot remember where did I first hear this one but “this too shall pass…” is one of my go-to mantras/ beliefs in life too, and for both the good and the bad hehe! Because it serves as a reminder to remain humble when things are too good because “that will pass too” xD and then it’s comforting when things aren’t too good becauseeee “this will pass as well” hehe, nothing is permanent they say, and it’s nice reminder to savor both the highs and the lows, for they all have something to teach us or nurture us with! 🥰🫂
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
"as you sow, so shall you reap." In other words if I am kind and supportive to others my mind is shaped by that and I meet more kindness in the world.
"May I have happiness and its causes.
May you have happiness and its causes.
May all beings have happiness and its causes."
@soulsings
This is so beautiful, thanks a lot for sharing your wisdom and warmth! 🥰
Kindness begets kindness.
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou and may you be free of suffering.
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
What is a belief or teaching that wraps around you like a warm hug when life gets hard?
I am forgiven. I am not alone. I am not forsaken.
What is the one belief, phrase or spiritual teaching that gives you peace when you're overwhelmed or distressded?
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Is there a quote or mantra that you silently repeat to yourself when no one else is around? Like a personal affiramtions.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I am child of the living God.
How did you come across this belief, and how has it evolved for you overtime?
I came across this belief when reading through The Bible.
There were many trials and times when I would be tempted to sin. Reminding myself of these verses and sentences allows me to calm myself down and know that there is a God who can help me in times of need.
Does this belief connect to your faith tradition, a personal spiritual journey, or both? How does it make you feel?
Both. It makes me feel empowered and faithful.

A thousand years from now, none of this will matter.
It's not a belief, just a fact...helps me put my problems in perspective.
Think about it: in a millennium from today, the problems of today's world will be summed up in a few paragraphs in history books (if anyone is still publishing books by then) that, most likely, few people will read. No one will remember you existed; ditto for your friends & enemies. Consider all this the next time life gets rough.
@slowdecline48 imagine having one embarrassing moment you really wish to forget, and that one specifically being mentioned within that paragraph. My ghost would die of shame 😂
or I would be the next emperor who fell from the horse, told his scribes to not record it and they recorded it with him saying to not record it 😂
@sadcat13 "...A week after the nation was reunited, the new king Eratoklias ate too many walnuts at breakfast, suffered from indigestion & then died after being thrown from his best horse."
@slowdecline48 a way to be remembered for sure 😂
