As-salamu alaykum! I hope everyone is doing well. I’m writing this post to wish Ramadan Mubarak to all Muslims in our community. This is a space to share your Ramadan greetings, reflect on the month, and connect with fellow Muslims.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, a time of fasting from the break of dawn until the start of sunset, increased worship, and striving towards self-improvement and good deeds.

Fasting will begin tomorrow for some countries and the day after for others, depending on moon sighting. It involves refraining from food, drink, and negative behaviors while focusing on acts of kindness, charity, and spiritual growth. At the end of the month, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr, a joyous occasion marking the completion of Ramadan.

We have a dedicated space for discussions about Islam in the Religion & Spirituality sub-community. You can use this space to share your experiences, reflections, and goals for the month, encourage and support others in their Ramadan journey, and even share prayers and supplications.

For Muslims, what are your goals for this Ramadan, and how do you plan to achieve them?

(For example, if you want to donate to a charity every day, you can choose to use a service that automatically donates every day for you)

Even if you are not a Muslim, you are welcome to wish Muslims Ramadan Mubarak.

Ramadan Kareem 😊🌙✨️

May it be a blessed month full of gratitude, happiness, wellbeing, and safety to all.

Ramadan is always a good time for growth, and healing. Its very peaceful, and just feels like the best time to change and focus on good deeds.

This Ramadan🌙, my main goal is to give back as much as possible, whether through charity, volunteering, or simply being there for those in need. I want to focus on helping my community, the people around me, spreading kindness, and supporting others in any way I can even as simple as cooking a meal. It’s a great time for generosity, gratitude, and making a positive impact on the people around me. And i hope i can do that this year 😊

Ramadan Mubarak! I felt to share some things that might be relevant and beneficial because it came to my mind that there are some goals and practices in Ramadan that might be related to some of the teaching and values of 7cups.

For example, this is the month in which Muslims fast in order to show gratitude for the Quran being revealed, which is called the book of guidance and wisdom and is considered to be a favour from God. We are taught to be grateful in general and particularly for the Quran which was revealed in this month

Fasting also should teach us empathy - often promoted here - because we should feel at least for a few hours what some people feel for days, weeks or longer. We should be able to show compassion to such people.

Fasting and charity should encourage kindness, also promoted here and we are asked to give as much as possible in Ramadan to the poor, to share food at the time of breaking the fast (a person gets the reward of the fasting person too) and also to keep up relationships with family, friends and people who might be alone during the month

Fasting is also supposed to help us with self control and emotional regulation. Especially when dealing with emotions such as anger. If we are angry we are supposed to say 'I am fasting now' and also avoid arguing, gossiping, lying and other harmful forms of speech

We also have to learn discipline and time management to break fast at specific times and open it at a specific time.

So at the end of Ramadan we might have improved a bit to become kinder, more grateful and positive, empathetic, less reactive and better able to manage time. It is a good time to practice positive habits and give up bad ones.

We also have the spiritual goals of a stronger and closer relationship to God and the Quran but also a stronger connection to each other. We should have a heart free from anger and hatred towards fellow Muslims and human being to have a successful Ramadan.

Fasting is also said to help decrease anxiety and depression and lower blood pressure. Reading Quran can also lower anxiety and depression or listening to it, even for people who do not understand Arabic.

Thank you to people who congratulated us for Ramadan

And wishing every one fasting a successful and accepted Ramadan

And thank you for the post!
