As-salamu alaykum

I hope you all are well. I can not believe it has already been a year since our last Ramadan post! Ramadan Mubarak to all Muslims in our community. This is a space to share your Ramadan greetings, reflect on the month, and connect with fellow Muslims.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, a time of fasting from the break of dawn until the start of sunset, increased worship, and striving towards self-improvement and good deeds.

Today is the first day of fasting for some countries, whilst fasting begins tomorrow for the rest. As the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar, a new month begins when the new moon is sighted. It involves refraining from food, drink, and negative behaviours while focusing on acts of kindness, charity, and spiritual growth. At the end of the month, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr, a joyous occasion marking the completion of Ramadan.

We have a dedicated space for discussions about Islam in the Religion & Spirituality sub-community. You can use this space to share your experiences, reflections, and goals for the month, encourage and support others in their Ramadan journey, and even share prayers and supplications.

🔦Islam Sub-forum Link

Here are some ways Muslims can do more good deeds this Ramadan:

  • Schedule your donations through banking apps or online platforms so you do not miss a day
  • Make a list of high reward adhkars and be sure to do them daily.
  • Delete apps that are a distraction so you can spend your time more wisely.
  • Help out your parents at home with chores/tasks.
  • Share iftar with neighbours

Note: You can make posts that encourage dhikr, ways to make most of Ramadan etc in this Islam sub-forum space linked above.

For Muslims, what are your goals for this Ramadan, and how do you plan to achieve them?

Optional: What would you like to see in the Islamic sub-forum this month?

(For example, if you want to donate to a charity every day, you can choose to use a service that automatically donates every day for you)

Even if you are not a Muslim, you are welcome to wish Muslims Ramadan Mubarak.

Wa Alaikum Assalam 🤍
Ramadan Mubarak everyoneee 💕
May this month bring peace to our hearts, focus to our minds and barakah in our time ✨

Ramadan plans? Very simple
Step 1: Survive long test series
Step 2: Survive midterms
Step 3: Finally breathe on Eid because exams will be OVER, yayyyy

So while some people are planning productive routines … I’m planning dua + revision timetable 😂
But Alhamdulillah, I’m just grateful to witness another Ramadan 🌙

May our fasts be accepted, our duas answered and our stress levels lowered (especially for students, ameen)
Wishing everyone a calm and spiritually uplifting Ramadan 💫🤍
