Why are my posts getting deleted?
I can never find some of my posts even though I checked all of them, I think they just got deleted.. But why? Did I say something "inappropriate"? Because I don't think so.
I feel like everyone hates me and tries to keep me away from any kind of help...
@DebianValkyrie
I can see why that would concern you! It must be frustrating to search for your posts and not be able to locate them!I have no idea why your posts would be deleted unless it broke some type of rule or if you posted in a thread where the original poster deleted the thread and that would cause all posts in that thread to be deleted. Or, there is a thing on the forums where if you post too much in a small time frame, you get stuck in the spam filter where it thinks that you're spamming and deletes all of your posts.
I hope this answer is helpful but in case it's not, I'll tag some people who might be more helpful.
@Anomalia @Lyra @Laura @KrinkTheMellowUnicorn
@HalliwellSister unfortunately our search is pretty weak. searching via google may help. i think people ought to be notified if their threads are moved or deleted but i don't know the community team procedure for that.
we really need an "all my posts" link...
@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn
i like the all my posts link idea. .... maybe something for you to work on? :p
also when posts are deleted or threads are deleted people are usually notified
@DebianValkyrie - As Krink mentioned below, our search is pretty bad, so sometimes it can be hard to track things down using it. It might be worth trying a google search (explaned how here) to try to track them down. You can also PM me and I can try to help you figure out where they are or what might have happened to them. :)
@Anomalia
I used Google to find it, the search in this site to find it, I also went through all the pages and all the posts, it wasn't there.. :/ So I think it just got deleted.
@DebianValkyrie
That sounds frustrating! I am sorry to hear that you couldn't find your posts even after using google. Is it possible that you got caught in the spam filter? I'd like to think that people wouldn't go about carelessly deleting posts without a reason. Feel free to contact Support@7cups.com to see if it might be a bug.
@HalliwellSister
The thing that I don't understand is how could the system think that it's a spam? I just got in, checked my notifications, wrote a post, read other posts, after a few minutes wrote another post in another thread, and reading again..
I'll write an e-mail to them then. I noticed that this happened to like 75% of my posts, so this is getting ridiculous.
sometimes we don't remember where they are. and the search function is not based on title or username but on the content. if you remember the first sentence of your text or the keywords used (not the title) it can help. check in the sections where you posted it.
Best is bookmark our own posts. so even if they are moved, we still can find them.
I'm sorry you experience issues with it. I'm sure if you message Anomalia they can help you to know what is happened to your posts.
@TortueDesBois
I remember where I posted it, I remember the first sentence, I tried using Google, I tried even going on all the pages here, looking through ALL the posts.. It wasn't there :/
@DebianValkyrie then Anomalia can definitly help you if you send a message !
