why are the chatrooms on here so nasty
Im finding the atmosphere in most of the chatrooms very unfriendly ,people only seem to want to speak to there friends ,i tried joining in nobody atall answered me , i felt in the way and very awkward so i left .
Most of the rooms were empty anyway and the ones people were speaking in werent friendly ,i might post in here sometimes but if the rooms are always like that ,i wont be using them .

I'm sorry that your experience of the chatrooms hasn't been pleasant. Unfortunately, 7 cups can't monitor every member/guest that uses the chatrooms and they don't always follow the rules. You can press the "mute/report" button for anyone who's causing problems for you and/or for the chatroom. Or you can use the "emergeny form" which is found in the chatroom rules, to call a moderator to the room. If you need immediate support, it's usually best to get it from a listener, than in the chatrooms. Hopefully your experiences improve in future!

@ramblingrock - I understand if you'd rather not participate in the chat rooms again. However, I'd encourage you to come along to one of our support sessions. You can find out what's one in our events calendar. These sessions are run by trained moderators and every effort is made to ensure that all participants are heard and included. They're also a great way to get to know other people! Hope you can join one.
