What should we watch out for/avoid including in posts?
Posts containing:

⚫ Links to social media or personal websites
⚫ Advertisements
⚫ Spam links
⚫ Triggering Content with specific details
*Be careful of clicking links that you are unfamiliar with, as there are virus links that can be posted/sent.

Guidelines in the Forums
Most subcommunities has an existing rule of guidelines to see them click into the subcommunity, and then the guidelines tab.

This is quite an excellent post as some members/listeners (like me) prefer the forums to the group chats. It is a very helpful guide :D
Some good info, but this is also a little confusing.
A subcommunity isn't a forum. Subcommunities are ways for people to connect around a topic - be it a support topic, a fun area, or to be informative. They can include things like forums, group support chat rooms, Q&As, and feed hashtags/pages. Not all of the forums belong to a subcommunity.
Unfortunately, the subcommunity pages took over the forum layout when a forum section was joined to a subcommunity and I feel like this often leads to these being confused.

@AffyAvo totally agreed! Thank you for bringing this up c: though I think what they wanted to point out is the forums as a whole section or an area of 7cups, which wasn't obvious due to the features of subcommunities being shown in the initial post.
PS. The list under the 7cups.com/forum also includes the subcommunities we have which I think it just overlaps and causes confusion. Might as well make the 7cups.com/forum intended for only forum categories and on the other hand, 7cups.com/home for subcommunities to make a distinction between the two and probably make another post as a reference wherein forums vs subcommunities is explained. I just feel like the only post I've seen that differentiated the two was @Monbon's post on forum-based and community-based leadership. Ah yes! That post is slightly outdated since it mentions jr community mentor / community mentor, but I think the premise is still the same. Maybe slightly off topic, but I think the tracks have kind of been blurred for a while, since ultimately they are all focusing on the same thing: offering support on a variety of topics in a variety of ways. I see the forum / group support tracks as being one axis with the individual topics being a different axis. Closer to the origin, we have community based moderation: forum / room supporters, forum / group mods, etc. and as you go out it expands to be wholly forum / group support / subcom based with forum / group support mentor leaders and forum / group support / subcommunity ambassadors. Okay, nerd time over!
As for 7cups.com/forum vs 7cups.com/home, I have to say that personally I would not like the idea of 7cups.com/forum being used only for forum categories not currently connected to a subcommunity. To me, the subcommunity itself is just the housing, the actual format with the lists and the page, but the forums are still the actual part where it says forum in that housing. I also feel this would be even increasingly detrimental to the visibility that the forum categories get. The group support rooms still have a separate page where you can see all currently open rooms despite the fact that you could just go to the desired subcommunity and check if it has a room that is currently open. In fact, you can get to their page directly from any page, while the forums are buried (although that is a separate gripe). Separately, I don't really use the 7cups.com/home page to find the subcommunities I want because you have to click "see more" a bajillion times just to see all of the current subcommunities.
That being said, it is true that this has been an ongoing issue, so I can't write off any suggestions anyone has completely. I am open to recommendations from the community.
@MonBon I just want the normal forum sections back. I should be able to have a similar page for a sectino that belongs to a SC as one that doesn't. Also bothers me so much that when I use the forum main page and pick a category in the SC that I lose the link to go back to the forum main page (community home becomes the default)

Agreed! Specially since it takes way more to get to /forums than the rest, it feels for many like it's impossible to get there lol one gets to the subcommunities easily in that case
