I see many others too complaining about this and I would like this to be addressed more effectively

There are too many alerts and notifications at times and I actually like being updated and knowing of any events or something relevant to me, however there are times when i see unnecessary and irrelevant alerts and it gets a bit annoying tbh

i recently saw some clickable notification for huddle check in, academy orientation etc that I am not part of and ofcourse when I click on them it shows conversation not found or whatever

then I see these notifs for teens and ATLs event and I'm neither

I saw some for cheers or coaching idk but it showed access denied and I guess it was something for listeners only

And many similar cases

I am wondering if there's a way to set notifications that are relevant to people ... say, listener stuff notifs for listeners only and not members, or academy check ins notifications for those who applied or are in the academy team...I don't want my notifications blowing up for no reason 😅 or something that I can't access or has no relevance to me!

Could there be anything done for this? It'll be greatly appreciated 💕

Idk who to tag or address specifically so I'll tag @CheeryMango as they are more active in forums

@Optimisticempath

I couldn't agree with you more; my list grows longer and longer every day with notifications of events and advice that is not relevant to me. I wish I could just get what I'm interested in and not messages and notifications that have no bearing on what I'm dealing with or relate to teenagers' issues as I am an adult.

@xandia

Thanks for replying, I knew i wasnt the only one who finds it bothersome :( the result of this sometimes is that i don't even click on the alerts and just click the cross thing to remove it idk if anyone relates but unseen notifications make me feel too anxious :( but then i wonder if i missed any relevant thing but eh what to do 😅

I hope the same as you :/

@Optimisticempath I have had others mention this to me too, that they are overloaded at times with alerts that do not affect them.

There are ways that alerts can be tailored to those that they are meant for. Another point is that some are outdated and should have expired if they had specific days or times added when the alert was created. I will tag @Heather225 @7CupsCommunity too

Hey Empath! I hope you’re doing well. There is a filter system that we use to set notifications by specific badges, communities, and age groups. Notifications for listener coaching team should only visible listeners and not members. I’ll pass on the information to the team about making alerts to the necessary group(s) and not to the general community if it doesn’t apply. Thank you for bringing this up!

@Optimisticempath I find it's goid for a while and then notifications get sent out too broadly again. Not sure why it cycles. I wish people would carefully consider who notifications are sent to consistently!

@AffyAvo yes true :( it wasn't as bad for a while but in last couple of months it got very weird 😮 hope there's a regular reminder or something for people with alert setting super power!!
