@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn
Something I would love to see happen on this site, would be if you could read the original post on the forums while typing a response. instead of the way it is at the moment where the response window blocks the post.I really think it would make things so much easier if it was possible. Thanks :)
@amazingRainfall28
Good suggestion. I would also like us to have "in line" posting on the site so that the text box just opens up below the post you are replying to. We can do that eventually, I am sure.
One work-around I often use today is to copy the post I am replying to, paste it into my reply, and then keep only the part I want to quote or respond to (or eventually delete it all once i've got my response written).
so i commonly give people guides or mood-boosts at the end or during a conversation. It would be great if we could directly access them during the chat instead of opening a new page, searching the right link, copying it and then sending it :)
@cuddlyHugs123 - great suggestion! (paging @Anomalia...)
Others have asked for some sort of resource link or way to pull up information in chats.
How would you picture giving direct access to guides or mindfulness recordings?
@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn
:)
So there is a referral information blue box on top of every chat. It would be great if the links of all those mood boosts and guides would be there. If we just click the link it gets sent to the person
Hopefully that makes sense :)
Very excited about feed notifications disappearing when you click on them! Very minor thing, and yet one that can cause so much irritation. :)
@Anomalia - I know. It was well meant at the time, to solve the problem of click, wait, where was I => never see it again. In fact, I know someone tagged me in a forum last week and because I clicked it in the app and then navigated away, I never saw it and still never have :(
But it was annoying and it's probably better this way. Alerts and other notifications (you got a review, you earned a badge, etc.) are still sticky, for now.
My longer term goal is to keep a history of notifcations and just distinguish which ones have been clicked (seen/read) and which ones have not yet (unread), but that will take a little more engineering work.
@ezraBC also just now fixed the problem with super-long conversation lists scrolling the chat box off the screen or snapping you back up to the top when you don't want to.
@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn - That officially makes @EzraBC my favorite person ever! That was my biggest bugaboo lately and had fairly significantly changed how I worked with my members and how I followed up. This is WONDERFUL news!!!
@Anomalia - please test the interface change and let me know for sure whether it meets your needs.
@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn - Uh-oh...it still seems to snap back for me and make me scroll down. Is this a matter of refreshing my browser / using a different browser?
@Anomalia - not sure. what browser are you using?
It might help to refresh your cache, or reload the page with the Shift key held down.
If you want to send me a screenshot of what you're seeing, I can troubleshoot.
@krinkthemellowunicorn - using firefox. Nit in front of my computer now, but I'll try some things tonight and let you know
@Anomalia ok thx
Yippee! I love bug fixes and while the ellipses hyperlinks are a little deal in terms of functionality, I use them so much that I'm thrilled to see that one will roll out soon!
As always, thanks to the whole team working on this - you guys are amazing!
@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn
How is progress insofar as the 7 Cups feed posts? Any post made by 7 Cups, I cannot see on my latest feed posts. I know I am not the only one. I enquired about this via email a good while ago more than once, but was wondering if it has been worked on at all.
I can see its reposts though! All of them now, I think.
@QuickJazz - I'm not sure of that specific bug but the repost method we use is proving to have some serious drawbacks and we are planning for @ezraBC to "rewire" it in the coming month. this should help ease the worst issues but I'll have to see if the 7 cups feed distribution is something else.
i wonder if we ran the 7 cups feed in its own column and just had it always coming from one place that it might not flow more easily....
Thank you @KrinkTheMellowUnicorn ! That was a really speedy response too.
I had stopped seeing 7 Cups posts quite some time before the reposts began to disappear. But the reposts have come back, yet the 7 Cups posts have not for me. So I am guessing it is probably due to something else, although I won't pretend to understand any of how anything works. Good luck to Ezra!! Sounds like a lot of work.
Thank you very much everyone for working so hard on fixing these issues all the time. It is very much appreciated!
Hi Krink, hope you can help :-) my referral link has rarely worked since I've been here, would you check it out please when you have time.
Thank you
Lucy2
hey all.. the year got busy and we've fixed a mess of bugs but I got a bit behind on updating y'all, so I will do one final update of this old Jan 2016 list and then publish a new top ten list, and also do a more general update about the roadmap and what to expect coming up next.
@KrinkTheMellowUnicorn - Excellent! Looking forward to seeing the roadmap post!
