7 Cups from the past
Has anyone noticed that the community seems much different? I’ve been a member since 2018 and it doesn’t seem the same. I message and never get a response, there are a lot of students looking to get volunteer credit for school but don’t resonate with an older adult. It’s great experience for them but I’m not feeling the empathy and compassion/connection as I did in past years. Maybe it’s just me..just thought I’d put it out there.

I agree i started back then and it was more people who answered but also challenged our thoughts and that was helpful.
Yes exactly!! People who answered my messages and put forth effort and understanding regardless of the situation. Now I feel it’s just a bit more touch and go..I’m happy you see that as well 😊

7 cups also did have a strong student presence.
Some partnerships with schools and now ghe academy aspect probably strengthens that connection with young adults although I haven't really noticed a shift to a younger age range.
It's fairly typical for people to use thd site for a few years in their early 20s and leave, so the age gap between me (as well as you) and the average user likely has increased.
You can browse for listeners who are 35+, and there are also the 35+ af 50+ communities (where anyone old enough to be on 7cups can actually participate).
The link filter doesn't copy over, it's under Listeners by age.
