"Needs Reply" Queue Batcall!
Hi, community!
We've experienced an influx of new posts recently that are in need of some love.
If you can, please take a few minutes to respond to any threads that you feel comfortable with. Your efforts would be greatly appreciated and will help ensure everyone feels listened to and heard!
Here's a few tips for responding to folks in threads!
Validate Feelings First. Show you understand. Use phrases like, "That sounds so tough," or "It makes sense you feel that way."
Ask Open Questions. Help them explore their own thoughts. Ask "How...?" or "What...?" instead of questions with a "yes/no" answer.
Keep It About Them. If you share a personal story, make it very brief and immediately turn the focus back to the original poster.

Hey, unofficial Needs Reply crew!
Have you visited the Welcome thread lately? Please swing by and check for unanswered introductions!

@Heather225
I did a few :)
H, you gave great tips about giving goid replies! There's also a thread here - https://www.7cups.com/forum/7cupsleadership/TheNeedsReplyTeamProject_781/EffectiveReplying_286362/
Something else to keep in mind is not all threads need a reply. Spam, duplicate posts, listeners seeking support instead of switching to a member account, crisis posts, people seeking offsite connections or romantic relationships can all be flagged so they can be managed appropriately. Even something simple like duplicate threads/cross posting - by keeping all replies to just one of the threads it allows the duplicates to be removed without the removal of replies.
@Heather225
All clear tonight 🥰

Sharing Affy's addition from earlier in this thread too for broad knowledge: Something else to keep in mind is not all threads need a reply. I keep forgetting to check the NR posts…
