@GlenM you have been so nice to me since i started on here. i cant believe its already been almost a month. you are a really nice guy and im glad i have found 7cups. im looking forward to moving forward on here and maybe one day i will play a big role on here. thanks you so much for being such an inspiration to me and many others. *hugs*

I feel like what you're talking about is the true meaning of the holiday spirit - and what i yearn for and strive for... And often, what I experience is stress and crowds and grouchy people living the exact opposite. It's such a shame, but I've made resolves to approach each passing holiday with that same magic you speak of.

Wow that's wonderful Glen. This year has reminded me how kind people are and how much I value everyone . During the Christmas period I try to write down what I'm thankful for each day.

I spend as much time as I can with my family too creating wonderful memories for everyone. The best time is sitting down on Christmas Eve watching the Christmas service from kings college Cambridge . But the most important thing is being together.

I would just like to send a special message to all those who are alone this holiday season. I know it can be tough but I wish you to know that you are not truly alone. I have spent the majority of the last 10 years being alone and with the exception of a couple of very special Christmas Days, I've spent them mostly alone.

As the story goes, " It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.

Christmas (and really, every other day of the year) is about sharing and caring. It is what we share from our hearts and what we give without measure that is the true spirit of Christmas.

Tonight, I got a little wonderful "haunting" as I looked at one of my social media pages and realized the last three posts could easily be identified as "Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future. Well, isn't that the "Dickens"!

It gives me hope and good cheer when such synchronicities appear in my life. It tells me there is indeed a "spirit" that looks over us and guides us if we only open our hearts to listen.

So in this moment, I'll quote a wonderful line from that beautiful book and send it out as the message I wish to send to all of you, tonight!

I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach! - A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

I will be here tonight and much of tomorrow for anyone who just needs to reach out and talk to someone.
