Happy Eid Al Adha 2022
As-salamu alaykum! I hope everyone is doing well. Today is Eid Al Adha for some while it is tomorrow for others. It depends on the country one resides in. This is the second Eid celebrated by Muslims and typically the celebrations can last up to 3 days. You can read more about the significance of this Eid here.
Usually, when celebrating Eid, Muslims will dress up in new/their finest clothes and prepare a wide range of dishes to eat on Eid day. Usually, they will meet friends and family on Eid day. Though the Eid festivities are maybe different in areas still experiencing a rise in Covid. Similarly, it can be a bitter-sweet moment for those away from their families. Know that we are here for you even if this Eid is not a happy one for you, feel free to get support through listeners, groups, or sub-communities.
Even if you are not a Muslim, feel free to wish the Muslim members of our community ‘Eid Mubarak’ or a ‘Happy Eid’.
