Research Opportunity! August 2022

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. Researchers from Carnegie Mellon University whether an AI-driven program that predicts whether a member is suicidal would be helpful to listeners on 7cups. They believe that your perspective as an experienced 7Cups listener would be invaluable to help them better understand this problem. Would you be willing to participate in the user study? Participation would take about an hour

Requirements to join the study!

• You must be 18 or older to participate

• At least one month of experience as a listener on 7 Cups

• Minimum of 50 1-1 chats

• No behavior reports/ points in the last 6 months

• Must be comfortable with suicidal mentions. If this is a triggering topic for you then it is not a good it.

• You can be situated anywhere in the world as long as you are fluent in English

The study is set to start within a week, seats are limited, and you will be compensated at the rate of $20/hour through an Amazon gift card. You are expected to dedicate an hour.
