@Heather225 An octopus has 9 brains! There is one in their head and one for each tentacle, so each tentacle is controlled independently!🐙🐙🐙

I always thought that was because of Napoleon. Which is why a lot of people here in the Netherlands have Jansen as their last name. A lot of men were named Jan so they called their sons Zoon van Jan ( son of Jan) wich got shortened to Jans zoon (Jans son) and that got shortened to Jansen.

Just to be sure I just googled it and I remembered right. In the 19th century Napoleon ordered everyone to have a last name. If you didn't have one they made one up for you. Usually they were about your job like Molenaar (Miller), your place of residence like Van Herveld (From Herveld), your character or your looks (I have never encountered someone with a last name based on the last two so no examples there I'm afraid).

A lot of last names existed before it became compulsory, particularly if you were above in social status. The Canadian French have a lot of fun last names such as Lemieux (the better one), Couillard (ballsy), Fleurty, in Louisiana, is the adaptation of Flaherty, my own last name sounds like "pair of nuts"

The ancestor of ironing used to make linens shine in Europe with an instrument made out of whale bone. The fact that it also flattened those linens too was a by-product which ended up overtaking the first purpose

@Heather225 Nature is wild!

Frogs can't vomit. Instead, they eject their entire stomach out of their mouths and empty it using their hands.
