Leaders! If you could give one piece of advice to a new leader...
...or someone wanting to take on a leadership role - What would it be?
@Heather225
Leader should be willing to hear what others have to say without rushing to judgment. And there's a difference between leader and a boss. A good leader never tries to be the boss.
Listen and try to understand the needs of others Empathy is everything
Do what's right even if you're standing alone.
@Heather225
To be confident and find meaning in the work they are doing.
Be patient❤
@Heather225
To be calm, patient, and empathetic. It takes a lot of commitment to come up with such a huge responsibility to make this world a safer place to live in, In this journey, we will find all sorts of people with different concerns. But the solitary thing I would say is to Be tolerant and respectful, and things will come down escalating back to y'all.
@Heather225 Letting other leaders know, when you can no longer fulfill, your duties and responsibilities of your role. Which is very important. To my fellow leaders, if your in a role and you have been in a role, for a while and you would like to move on to another role, here at 7cups, it is ok to do. Just make sure, you inform the leaders, that you would like to move on to another leadership roll, here at 7cups. The leaders, are very understanding and they will help you, when you need help. So, please do not be afraid to ask for help. Also, if you don't like a role, that is ok. It happens. It is no big thing. Ask questions. By asking questions, that is how we learn and grow, and gain wisdom. Have fun, in your role. If a role, feels like work or a burden, then maybe it is time for you to find a different role or take a self-care break. Self-care breaks are a wonderful way, to recharge your energies. Self-care, breaks are really important. Thanks H for the question and I hope I answered it.
