November Community Update! (short version!)
Dear Community,
We practice gratitude all the time here at 7 Cups. Each night at dinner I ask my kids their highs and lows and one thing they are thankful for; I share too and I often share something about 7 Cups - our team, ambassadors, listeners, and members.
I wanted to start this quick update by letting you all know that I’m thankful for you! I love what we are doing here together and I’m glad that I get to interact with you. Thank you for holding our community in your hearts and for helping one another heal, flourish, and grow stronger. It is beautiful and I’m honored to be a part of this with all of you!
2 quick updates from me:
New App - the new app should be out by the end of the year! This has been an enormous amount of work; we’ve basically had to re-write the entire site. We are testing it now and making changes. Look for more soon!
Growth path playlist - this will also start testing this week. I’m very excited about this. Look for an update on this soon as well.
With gratitude,
Glen

On the Content Volunteer Team end, the Team has had several new writers and alongside the experts/therapists who volunteered to help out with some of the planned articles, we will be publishing our articles by the end of the month, to be shared in the Expert Mental Health News and Advice section. We are also looking to invite external experts and guest writers to help make this section more interesting.
The team also continues to improve the quality of our Question and Answer Pages, and we will be posting some of the Q&As on the 7 Cups social media platforms.
Would you like to join the Content Team? Please PM @SoulfullyAButterfly

We are continuing to work on Quality Initiatives. @Gracey now has monthly meetings with Teen Quality Stars to be a liason between admin and the teen community’s needs. @QuietMagic and @MidnightRaven999 continue to lead the Anonymous Evaluations Team. They have also created an Anonymous Evaluations Feedback Team to distribute the feedback from the evaluations. The teams are currently expanding and accepting applications.
We will be starting Safety Workshops and Safety Discussions once again. @Power will be helping lead these discussions and workshops. The safety discussions will be in rooms to help engage the community in proactive safety tips. The Safety Workshop Team will create safety quizzes for the community to enhance knowledge of proactive safety practices.

It has been an eventful month for our sub-communities. We launched sub-community workshops to practice navigation, post creation and responses. These workshops are led by sub-com leaders and everyone is welcomed to attend them. We also introduced weekly fun forum activities to keep our users entertained. Moreover, @Tazzie worked with the sub-community team to organize events for Cupsgiving (7 Cups version of Thanksgiving). Lastly, 7 special events were led by the sub-communities. On the leadership front, 11 new forum supporters and 2 forum mentors/member leaders and 2 community mentors joined the forum/sub-community team.
In teen news, we have been working on adding support to the teen listener and Friendship room. Daily sessions. We introduced daily sessions in FR and Daily check-ins in the TL room. Also, we opened the teen listener room to non aged up adult teen listeners who have the peer supporter or chat support badge (they need to apply for the access). Moreover, we started ATL AMA sessions so that interested listeners can ask questions about the ATL role. Lastly, we also had a super fun party where the teens came together, and we did a little ‘show and tell’ session where everyone shared their favourite items.
As for Internship, 68 listeners started their Internship since the last update, 40 listeners successfully completed the trial and became active interns. On the Tulip front, 40 listeners received tulips in the month of october.

In the Group Support news, Sharing Circle Welcoming & Appreciation Team introduced. The goal of this team is to welcome and inform members about Sharing Circle and recognize and appreciate the efforts of the sharers to share and support each other during the session. In November, welcoming messages were sent to 400 users and appreciation messages to 100 users.
While on the leadership front, we are getting stronger. 31 room supporters, 13 moderators, 2 Group Support Quality Mentors were onboarded. A big thank you to Group Support Leaders who went above and beyond to keep the onboarding process efficient. Also, if you need help with opening/closing rooms, we have 83 doorkeepers to help you out. Here are the details of who and how to make a request!
In terms of appreciation & recognition, 150+ hosts are hosting sessions to support the community every week. While, in the month of November, 245 community leaders went above and beyond in their different roles to provide all support to different projects and the community. We are thankful for these amazing leaders. Also, they are sharing a piece of advice with the community here and here!
