April 10, 2015: Forum Notifications Change
Hi everyone! Due to our server troubles yesterday, we had to make some changes for forum notifications. Forum notifications were adding a lag to our server, so we have temporarily discontinued the following forum notifications:
- Subscription threads. When you post in a thread, you will no longer be automaticallysubscribed to this thread with notifications. We are working on a more efficient way for you all to subscribe to threads for notifications. Stay tuned for more information on this!
- You will still have: Forum tag notifications &forum upvote notifications

I am glad to hear that this is finally being implemented! I have asked for it few times and got replies that it was not possible at that time.

My posts don't seem to be registering as new ones. They show up, but aren't displaying with the lastest posts, and sometimes they aren't updating the topics with the latest date/time.
But of course, this above one worked :) Maybe the problem has been fixed?
I look forward to the subscribe/unsubscribe feature(s)! This is definitely something I've been hoping to see.

Thank you! There were certain threads that the constant notifications were driving me batty!
So I'm new here. If someone replies to a post we make in a forum are we given a notification? If no is there any way that is possible?

It used to be that way, but it seems it has been disabled due to difficulties, per Laura's post. However, you'll still get a notification if someone tags you (as I've done here!) so hopefully we'll all be able to increase our tagging to make sure posters see our replies :) And welcome by the way! Glad to have you in the community.
