Site Design Updates Live Now

I feel, it is nice to share feedback, and have a collaborative approach in a community to function together. Together we thrive, right! ❤

Sharing my thoughts as well, as a part of this community, and a user of this website.

It is appreciated how the tech team has been trying their best to work on the layout, interface, usability etc, but so many changes one after another are certainly quite overwhelming and well, anxiety-inducing (given the fact that even if change is "inevitable" at times or that change is constant etc quote-wothy mentions, change is still hard to cope with, for many many people, it's strugglesome keeping up with so many changes at the same time that definitely affect user-experience and consequently user-retention here), and to be respectfully frank here, some of these are also "unnecessary/ not required" for the time being, I believe there's better things to work on first (right at the top of my head, for the tech side of things it would be much appreciated to fix the recurring issue with notifications, and a suggestion about upvotes leading us to the comment upvoted instead of the first page in a thread, Non-technical side of things: listener quality, ghosting, inappropriate chats/ people engaging in behaviour not appropriate for an emotional support platform and so on), that could perhaps be given a higher priority here. Some of the concerns as mentioned here by other users as well.

This particular brand new look is going to be the hardest to get used to, I feel (on the very unfortunate side if it cannot be reversed now). :/

I'm particularly fussed about the misplacing of notifications, and the issues with chats (no status activity, earlier the new/ unread messages were displayed distinctly, the hearts oof, to name a few), the first few things I noticed, and ofcourse more to explore here.

Going back to the previous version is certainly more appealing at this time, I feel. :')

Since it's the tech update, I also wanted to applaud the tech team for bringing back the profile pictures on the app, it was another questionable update when they were removed, but grateful to the team for, again, valuing our feedback and suggestions. ❤

Hoping the feedback being shared here is also considered to do all of us some good, and bring more comfort to the users. ❤

Please, The blinking banner; is going to drive away ghosts from the site.

I honestly hope they revert the changes back, and I mean this in no disrespect but if this update remains the same I honestly don't know if I can continue on doing my listening duties. The reasons for that are; the yellow color is not only too bright but it's causing me anxiety and it's making me feel sick. The Country flags from the profiles are removed so that means that we won't know if someone will speak a language that we may not understand, I hope I explained that right. Also, we cannot see whether someone is online, busy, or offline since their status does not show up on the chat anymore. I haven't really been able to take any new chats since the update was rolled out 3 hours ago, this can't be good for those members who are relying on that help.

Too many people are voting and not favouring new design and it's been hours but change doesn't get reverted

I'm anxious if they are really going to fix it or we have to live with this horrible, cheap design , please dear admin please please please, revert to old version

Previous version was better, new design is complete mess and refraining me from the site, I want to help more people admin please hear us 😭😭😭

I love to listen people and want to help more and more people but new design giving me anxiety.

Cups logo in middle looks very cheap and uneasy for me.

P.S- no hate, it's my humble request dear lovely Admins and developer, switch to older version 😭🙏

I cant see any icons anymore, just empty square boxes. Eg everything at the top of this message window is just empty squares and only the text size (15) is showing. I use mobile browser. At this rate, not for much longer though.

I want red compassion hearts please 🥺 blue ones feels like im sad, the message is sad and i wasn't really interested in clicking the heart. And it's not really visible.

A green 💚 heart or a red ❤️ heart would be the best.

@SoulfullyAButterfly is there a way we could make it to where we can click on members’ profiles from the chat request list so we can look at their triggers/pronouns/etc before accepting the request? Thanks
