Ways To Take Care of Yourself In Online School!
The pandemic has caused a lot of our lives to exist behind the screens, cooped up in a room, instead of out in the open, and education has been no stranger to it all. Classroom walls dissolved into a tab on our browsers, pen and paper melted away into documents and scanned copies of them, and all of it has had a significant impact upon us.
Almost all the students out there have reported feeling that online school is much harder for them than its alternative, that they miss their campuses, that there has been a sharp decline in the length of their attention spans, among many other complaints.
Therefore, it becomes necessary to care for ourselves more when we are learning online. Here are some ways in which you can achieve that!
Set a schedule!
Spending so much time at home has led to an overlapping of boundaries when it comes to our personal and academic lives. Maintaining specific time slots for different activities that you need to do during the day on both fronts is a great way to achieve a balance! Tools like Google Calendar, or if you’re a bit traditional like me, a journal, may be of great help to you for setting a schedule that suits you!
Have a gratitude list!
Amid the stress and fast-paced routine that online school forces upon oneself, it is easy to spiral down into a space where one delves into pessimistic thinking. Maintaining a list of all that you’re grateful for, no matter how small it is, should help you in preventing that from happening and keeping your happiness index up!
Pause that grind and rest!
I know, I know, rest is a luxury and you simply do not have the time, but it’s crucial for your body and lack of rest will only take more away from you than it will contribute to your already pressured system. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep, taking brief breaks where you move, stay away from screens, and talk to people you vibe with!
Build a support network!
This is perhaps the most important tip in this entire post. “Man is a social animal,” Aristotle had said, and who are we to disagree? We need people and people need us. Building a support network of understanding, empathetic people to hold our hands through this journey is super helpful, and adds tremendously to our happiness, well-being, and performance! However, not all of us are lucky enough to be surrounded by such people all the time, but that is where we come in!

@Clarisse29 Looks wonderful !
@Clarisse29 Great and relevant post! As a college student I think being online was a very difficult experience especially with the limited interactions I had with everyone and my friends through that setting. Definitely following some of the post's ideas to combat this.
I would say online schools are one of the best platforms for those students who are unable to go to school and this can provide the best quality of writing options as well.

Great post, thanks! I've recently came across with Eteacher Group reviews at https://eteacher-grоup.pissedconsumer.com/review.html. Has anybody heard about this school? Can anyone share your experience.
@Clarisse29
Really good tips, sometimes I find myself wanting to do a handful of online free courses at the same time, which is overbearing. The key one you said, having gratitude. Sometimes I really feel dissatisfied with what I have at the moment or I don't have enough skillset for a particular job. From time to time the thought does appear
