Easy question! Since I've been small, the church bells of my hometown. There are three and they not only ring the hours and half-hours, they signal other events with distinctive sounds (hammers and clappers). I have had the occasion to climb up the tower and see them in action for myself, as well as the electric box (from a company called "Quasimodo" (great name!) in the sacristy which determines what they ring.
@Fradiga that is fantastic seeing the bells in action. I used to love church bells but now all I hear is the occasional train whistle. Living far from the center of town!
@soulsings In fact, my phone ringing tone is church bells. I enjoy other church sounds too, the choir, the organ (I stayed in the pipe room at times and was surrounded). I have been a successful harpist for many years but lost agility and sensitivity due to a chemo drug a few years ago. The 4 harps were sold away last year when I moved back to France. I listen to bird calls in season and can tell several. I hope to built a wind harp which plays itself with the right draft for my grandson and his cousins. When living in White Plains, NY, I enjoyed hearing carillon playing simple tunes from the centre of town.
@Fradiga a wind harp sounds wonderful. Like this one? https://youtu.be/rmP5XaNYlkI
I would like one that played only third and maybe 7th so it would sound like an organ.
@soulsings Ooh that's a tough one! I think two of my favorite sounds are the ocean waves and the sound of the bell on my cat's collar 😂 I went to the beach a lot growing up and even continue to do so, so I have all those memories and the waves are just so relaxing ❤️ I love hearing the *tink tink tink* of my cat's collar when she comes running because she'll come for treats or to beg me for some food 😂 What about you Soul?
@fruityPond7887 nice it seems a lot of people like the ocean waves. I find them soothing also.
I like flute music as well. go to this link and click on

@soulsings Oooh that's a fun website! I think the flute is such a pretty instrument :) Have you ever seen Lizzo play the flute? She's incredible! Thank you for sharing!
@soulsings
My favorite sound is the oceans waves as they bustle about and crash on the beach, they bring peace and clarity of thought
- What is your favorite sound and what does it mean to you? Deep Bells like this one https://youtu.be/wnN4w24nCUE
- What type of emotion does it bring up? They feel peaceful and very healing for my ears (my ears are sensitive to certain sounds after tinnitus many many years ago)
Growing up with my dad he taught me about exploring music near and far and his music taste has always made me content with my life, I prefer music back from between 80s to 2019 although I would say i prefer soft rock and classic rock and a bit of OPM(Original Philippine Music)
@Meadino0 like this one ?https://youtu.be/-erOlCZoO7o
Very warm and friendly music.
My favorite song of sound is "And you Don't Even Know You Hurt Me" by Nick Murphy. I originally discovered it on the Calm app. It's something about that song that soothes me and allows me to release and relax. Whether I'm going to bed or just need to cry and drown the noise out around me.
