Easier said than done.

I’m working on the path of forgiving myself. Its not easy but with time, awareness, consciousness and self acknowledgment it is possible. I lived a life wanting to hear “its not your fault” but then realized with time that there was nothing that could avoid it from happening. Its not a price I have to keep on paying. I genuinely believe I paid it in full emotionally, physically and mentally. 

I am fully aware that forgiveness will take a big portion of my grief and will let me live in peace internally. I’m almost there, will trip in the middle but will stand up again and continue. I will not allow the time that had passed (eating me inside) to take away the time I have left to heal. 

Forgiveness requires strength of being true to yourself, to your self care. Guilt will echo occasionally but will not be the noise that will break me again. 

I don't hold myself at fault anymore, because I understand that what happened to me grew out of circumstances beyond my control
