@soulsings more psychology-related stuff :o
@KateDoskocilova
I hear you Kate, same here 😊
@soulsings I'd wanna learn how to whistle. I've tried before. Never really got the hang of it though. It looks like a really cool skill to learn. It'd be fun to whistle at birds.
@soulsings Falling asleep and staying asleep. Been struggling with that on and off for over6 decades.
@Amelia763 I hear you. The older I get the more I get up to go to the Loo or bathroom so I rarely sleep all the way through. I will sometimes chant to myself silently. I try to keep things quiet and dark not even a night light.
@soulsings I'm able to sleep during the day, but it's torture for me to lie down in my bed at night. I get itchy spots and have to scratch the itch. I get stabbing pains from fibromyalgia and have to massage those points to get relief, then, like you say, needing to get up to pee. Today for the first time in days I was able to get up before 7:30 AM.
@Amelia763 that is success in my book getting up at a decent hour.
@soulsings I got through my day and got some things done, but by 7 PM I was so exhausted I had to go to sleep. I woke up around 10:30. Now I'm up all night. It's close to 5 AM in my time zone. I'll probably fall asleep after the sun comes up, and wake up in the early afternoon.
@soulsings
I would like to accept myself the way that I am and not hate myself all of the time.
@NotAllHere713 I have struggled with self judgement for much of my life. I found a lot of that originated with people expecting me to be perfect and so I started expecting me to be perfect. The net result o expecting oneself to be perfect is frustration and failure that can lead to low self esteem. Fortunately by changing my expectations, I can look myself in the mirror and smile.
@soulsings
Possibly crochet 🧶 with huge wool with a big crochet hook. I quilt and sew but don’t knit or crochet … but I love blankets and love to gift blankets …

@SunShineAlwaysGrateful those are beautiful. It reminds me of my grandmother who loved to make afghans which are like blankets. Sorry for the quality of the picture it is a picture of a picture.

Love it so beautiful
@SunShineAlwaysGrateful thanks. I was hoping it would look like double helix DNA when I designed it on paper. I provided all the yarn and she amazingly did it is 3 weeks. I thought it would keep her busy for 6 months because she was a shut in.
@soulsings
A great way to spend time what a beautiful treasure from your momma
I'd like to learn how to make money while disabled, and navigate all the means testing and tax law. Just in case the rumours are true that disability will be gotten rid of entirely, I'd like to be able to survive, somehow.
@Zeraphim I wonder if there are any groups with people with disabilities that might help in getting jobs.
@soulsings To be honest, it is only due to desperation and coercion. I want to have a way to live in the future. If existential needs were met, if I wasn't worried about society crumbling, if my time wasn't occupied with just trying to survive and deal with boundary violators at home and struggling to maintain my mental health, I think my priorities would be different. Like, maybe I could learn communications skills or social work skills.
@Zeraphim I have seen your "worry list" and it sounds like a list of catastrophes. When I live like that I am constantly in a panic. My amygdala takes control and I am like an animal cornered.
I have to start living more in this moment. Today I have enough to eat and a roof over my head. I have people I know on 7 Cups. I am able to live my life independently. There is a lot going right. What may happen is not what I am focusing on although I have in the past. It really threw me for a loop.
@soulsings If I am being honest how to destroy my mental health like I know other people would ask why I would want that and I don't know why it is just that I get excited at the idea of me having a mental breakdown or other things like that.
