Night time is rest time for me, I switch off from everything and get into my cozy bed and watch a nice movie or listen to music. Usually I sleep well. I only have problems when the room is warming up again (after cooled down by aircon), luckily this happens only in the hot season.

  • What’s your favorite thing about your night times? I love how peaceful night time feels. I think it's a lot less chaotic than daytime, in my opinion. I can really unwind and start to settle down before bed when it gets dark out.
  • How often do are you able to get restful sleep? I really try and get restful sleep every night. I sometimes tend to stay up too late online and lose track of time, but sleep is so important!!

What’s your favorite thing about your night times?

Honestly, I hate the night. It's too quiet and my head gets to do what it's best at - going through all the negative stuff.

How often do are you able to get restful sleep?

With insomnia and chronic nightmares, not a lot. A bit better when I take sleeping pills, but that causes all kinda other problems so it's not real often either.

I'm sorry it's like that for you. Is there anything that helps? A movie or music before bed or during sleep, a nice conversation? I love the night time It feels like a belongs to me alone. It is quite peaceful and of course the cats are nocturnal. I like to watch the Stars. I rarely want to go to sleep but I'm finding it hard to stay awake these days whether it's day night or somewhere in between. All my body wants to do is sleep. I'm not very productive and I'm very disappointed about that. And make a plan but just end up going back to sleep And it feels so good.

  • What’s your favorite thing about your night times? When the night retreats and allows the daybreak to ascend.
  • How often do are you able to get restful sleep? Not very often, I sleep about 3 to 4 hours a day some rare times I get more but most of the time it is less. Nightmares and triggers during the night help me keep busy till I see the first hint of day light.

There's a love hate relationship with night. I enjoy the night sky, the moon and stars. The lightening of spring thunderstorms. But with night the anxiety rises and sometimes there's a fear of the dark.

Sleep is usually 4 hours. Like many others here there is often nightmares and bouts of insomnia.

@soulsings Tbh I'm exhausted most days. I know lack of sleep affects everything. It makes depression and anxiety worse. There's a sleep routine and I can fall asleep most nights easily - it's staying asleep that the problem is

@mytwistedsoul I am sorry you have trouble staying asleep. My friend talked to their physician and he suggested Melatonin might help. Not sure what would work for you.

I find avoiding intoxicants and not eating near bedtime helps me.
