The nicest thing someone did for me last year was: One old friend putting me up in Paris for four days, and my family celebrating my 70th birthday with a.... cruise and about a hundred guests. I actually find that 99% of people are actually "nice", even those who are difficult. A lot of kindness is actually ongoing!
I would love someone to send me to paris
@Fradiga
Nice that you had such a great experience for your birthday! I so agree with you about the kindness of people. To be people are nice but sometimes find it hard to show it.
The nicest thing somebody did for me last year was let me stay with them when ihad nowhere to go
@courageousPomegranate766
It must have been a great relief for you to know where to go! I hope things are much better for you now.
@soulsings 👍🏁😀
My therapist cleaned and totally organized my apartment including hanging pictures, building a shelf and took her white board off her office wall and put it in my kitchen so I can learn to be more organized. I feel so blessed and loved as great friends
I hope you all have something that warms your heart like me
Blessings, Day
@soulsings I'm not sure what the nicest thing someone did for me, but I was very very grateful when my best friend decided to fly across the country with me to go see a concert 😂 We made a nice vacation out of it!
@soulsings the nicest thing someone did for me last year was when i had my first ever school breakdown (was getting over a relationship and genuinely couldn't stop crying the entire morning) and my chemistry teacher, with no judgment at all, (he was more shocked than anything to be honest - he'd never seen me so upset in the two years he'd taught me, i was in his first teaching class when he came to our school) let me leave the classroom with a friend to an empty room so i could finish his box of facial tissues and talk through what was going on. after around 45 minutes of letting it out, i went back in the classroom to continue the lesson (it was on empirical formulae, didn't miss much there) and he was coming round with lab coats for everyone. when he got to my desk, he discreetly slid a blue riband chocolate bar (can't lie i had no idea there was such a thing) into the package. at the end of the lesson i asked him whether he'd purposefully put the chocolate bar in (what a stupid question, you can't accidentally give a chocolate bar to someone) and he said yes and started talking about how his grandma flo used to eat them all the time and gave them to him whenever he felt sad. that was probably the nicest thing that happened that month.
@asznee
That's a sweet story! You feel all better now and you'll remember this for the rest of your life
What a wonderful post @soulsings! This post encourages us to savour the moment and this is so important for our well-being and can help us feel happier and healthier!
The nicest thing someone did for me last year was to listen to me gently and to help me process the ups and downs of life, and the challenges and beautiful lessons that it brings.
