Should I move to the usa
So l've been thinking about this thing
Pretty much me and my girlfriend got this opportunity and I don't have anyone to talk to about it except for her
We're from bulgaria and we got offered scholarships and jobs in the usa
And first that means moving permanently as long as the visas allow it
And overall just living together
We'll have our own dorm rooms food and everything pretty much provided and the woman that is going to provide us with all of that is a Bulgarian and she basically runs this and she says it's easy
There are also 3 months where we’ll work and see the college and after that we’ll have the choice to decide if we want to stay or not
The place is Austin, TX

I use to live in Texas for a long time.. it's a decent place to live and thrive.. unfortunately I can't tell you what to do either way.. There is alot of things to consider when moving that you have to consider..🌲
@Yoanchu With this very brief description I see warning signs.
Sadly there are a lot of people who will scam potential international students.
Before deciding anything, verifying with the school directly regarding acceptance, accommodations and the scholarship if throught them as well as verifying the job and visa is a good idea if you haven't already. Don't rely on contact information you have been provided, the scams can be complex.
I hope it's a legitimate offer. If so it sounds like a huge change but also a great option!
I agree with Affy. This is a difficult time for foreign students to get in US. I would check with your government and school. You could be poorer after this if turns out to be a scam.

Right Scam or a trafficking situation. Get her in the states, trap her, and do gods knows what.
@Yoanchu If you have the trusted documents, so just move 😅 There's a threat and an opportunity everywhere. However, in new place you have to rebuild everything from zero. No trusted documents, only words is dangerous for moving.
Just be careful. Make sure that you can verify who this person is and someone knows where you're going at all times... this is how trafficking situations happen. Be careful.
@Remina Or it can be a financial scheme where someone then finds themselves in a foreign country like the US with a fraudulent student visa (as they aren't legitimately enrolled as a student).

Hello Yoanchu, welcome to 7 Cups. I agree with what many others have said, making sure of your enrollment in the school, making sure you have a REAL job to come to, checking into the history and background of the lady you are going to be staying with; perhaps the local police, maybe?
I know, I sound very cynical but I have a little personal experience story;
I was born in England and moved, with my parents and sisters, to Australia in 1974. I met my wife, an American lady, in 2006, we were married, in Australia, in 2007. She is, literally, the love of my life, my soulmate, we both had to wait a long time for the universe to bring us together, we both had to go through hard times to find the good times. In 2012 she asked me how I would feel about living in America. I agreed and so, after selling everything we moved to the United States in March of 2013. So, I have been here just over 13 years now.
I will give you my honest assessment of the United States. It is NOT a land of milk and honey. It is NOT a land of golden opportunities or fair breaks. Depending on what you are doing here the living conditions, if you do not have much money, can be deplorable. The work hours are long and demanding, including, in many places, mandatory overtime and no overtime allowances on your pay. Ray scales vary, naturally, depending on what you are doing but if it is a low tier job the pay rates are dismal. There is NO opportunity to save and thrive when you are just trying to survive.
At present the American Government is NOT kind to foreigners here. people are being deported for being so called "illegal immigrants" and sent back to where they came from, families are being torn apart to satisfy a right wing political national agenda. Family members who have been here for years, have established homes, raised American born children are being seized from their very homes and sent back to their country of origin while their American family members are stuck here.
All of this might not please a lot of people here BUT it is ALL true.
THINK VERY HARD BEFORE YOU MAKE A DECISION THAT MAY RUIN YOUR LIVES.
