@soulsings I try to be kind to myself as I am to others but sometimes I do fall short. I think the hard part is when its family and theres love the hardest is sayin’ no but also the side of it is ever since my teen years with my mom of which was when I first started it in as far as if I could make another person happy then for me thats my happiness. I love to see a persons smile or like in my moms case I would love to see the tears flow from her eyes in complete joy over what I had done. She was always a very sad person due to things she had to accept from her family so I did all I could to try to make her happy and I knew I had succeeded the second I saw that tear. I do it with my daughter as well. She isnt sad like my mom was but she becomes breathless when I have done somethin’ kind for her. Non family members and strangers. If I see a stranger struggling with somethin’ I will offer my assistance. I guess in someways if I am answering the question correctly if my serving God the best possible way I can then for me it is being kind to myself ‘cause I am working on saving my soul.

yet stumble when facing myself.
But compassion is not indulgence;
It is the quiet strength
that lets me rise again.
@LeoInPerpetuity I agree the hardest part is forgiving ourselves for the errors in decisions we made but shame and blame do not help. Regret and do something symbolic to amend for our action.
