A challenge I feel is not managing a regular time to sleep at. Working on it hehe.

What helps me sleep better is absolute darkness in my room xD listening to ambient sounds (rain sounds especially) before sleeping.

Happy sleeping, everyone! 😴💖

@AshleyNFlewellenLPC

A couple of hours before bed, all of the lights in the house are dimmed. And of course a noise machine.

Before bedtime I watch something funny and do a brief sleep meditation so my mind is relaxed.

Sleep is uneven with me, depending on pain, but usually I do take medication to fall asleep faster at this point.

I agree, sleep is so important. I struggle with taking my medications. I do okay with screens but if I don't take my medicines I tend to be wired. If I don't eat enough food I tend to struggle as well. If I'm feeling uncomfortable like ,for example, if I'm dancing a lot (bc I dance sometimes as a ballerina) I just stay up!!! Thank you for this question, I think I will do up my sheets tonight. Sweet dreams

Sleep has always been difficult for me. I think because I have always had some form of anxiety and I haven't felt long-term safety and stability in a very long time. When I feel safe, doing enough activities during the day to tire me out and sticking to a routine is when I get my best sleep.

@AshleyNFlewellenLPC I’ve never slept well. I remember being awake most nights as a child. So although I don’t get enough sleep now, I feel I’m doing much better than I did from age 4-20. Currently 44. I’m not sure exactly where the sleep issues of yesteryear stem from. I did have a rigid sleep protocol, and I’m wondering if it just didn’t work for me and reset something.
