@soulsings

It's all organized in a routine, work, cores, visits and helping mom, groceries... that's during the week. I alternate moments of doing what I like, relax and walks.

I mostly enjoy little things in between, like coffee break when working, my meals, looking at the beautiful landscape that surrounds my house...the list can be long!

After waking up I do a gratitude meditation or affirmation video. I'm not pressing the snooze button but if I feel tired I would sleep longer to feel refreshed provided my time schedule allows it. Years ago I was constantly rushing in the morning, hardly took time for breakfast but now I always take my time in the morning. This allows me to face the day with a more positive attitude.

@SunShineAlwaysGrateful I find a list helps me prioritize what I am doing and it helps me feel like life is manageable.

Wow tea on the deck sounds lovely.

@soulsings I press snooze for an hour until it’s 2-3 minutes before I have to log into work. I shuffle to my computer and log into Teams (our internal communication system), tell my team good morning, and then do things in 3 minute increments before my status goes idle, coming back to wiggle my mouse and stay available. By the end of the first hour of work, feeding the dogs, getting dressed, fixing my hair, and doing my makeup has been completed in the 3 minute mouse wiggle increments.

Yeah. It’s not the best…

@mich765 sounds like you have to keep running back to your computer. How does that feel to you?

@soulsings it’s not great. My goal is to start getting up earlier. Depression makes it hard, but I know that if I can just start it will get easier.

@mich765 what I do is set the snooze to 15 minutes then start doing stretching in bed and that helps get the energy going. After one or two alarms I am usually good to go.

Depression is a rough thing. I find a high protein breakfast helps me get going.
