Leaving a toxic relationship and moving on my own, starting my life over, and I’m proud that I survived and am starting to thrive
@ThadSterling
Glad you left the toxic relationship and made a fresh start! I hope this year will be filled with blessings for you.
@ThadSterling I am so glad you left that kind of relationship.
Toxic anything is not good, including relationships.
I hope you find someone, who is less toxic to you.
Repatriating to France from abroad, where I had lived for 48 years.
@Fradiga
I could imagine that returning to your home country after 48 years must have been quite a challenge but also exiting. I hope you are happy where you live now.
@amiablePeace77
Well, this house has been in my family for generations, so it was familiar :D.
However, I had to go through a ton of administrative hurdles and adapt to a less urban and more rural life, especially winter.
Thank you for your kindness

I had to settle a few things to make myself feel safe (administrative things) and there were so many obstacles that I thought I never make it but I did, step by step with a lot of patience.
I was assaulted twice and had memories of my childhood.
@generousEyes9755
So sorry to hear about the assault 💙 I hope you find the support you need here on the site.
I hope so too.
Thank you
@soulsings
Workplace bullying the entire year. It continued and worsened when I was transferred to work abroad in a foreign country, where I did not know the language and I was living alone.
Huge challenge which led me to resign from the job and return home. Very stressful.
Left an abusive relationship and stayed at a shelter for abused woman and children.
Best decision to leave!!! 💟☮️
@Spiritofthecheetah
So glad you did! I hope your life is much better now and you could process everything that happened.
The hardest thing I went through last year is probably learning how to be independent in relationships. I was constantly preoccupied with whether people hated me or were going to leave me, and it was really detrimental to my relationships and my mental health.
@LillianAranach
Living with fear of being hated or left behind can break a person, good you learned to be independent!
@soulsings. After my business coach asked a rhetorical question, what was your role in the family growing up. It took a while but mu roll growing up being the youngest of five kids, was that of The Tortured. I've been unpacking years of trauma ever since and idleness of the holidays has caused everything to come crashing down on me.
@1AlTruistic1
It must have been really tough for you to face your trauma. It takes a lot of strength to reach out and start processing what happened. I hope you find the support you're looking for here.
