I was always hesitant to write stories in general but one day I started and created stories of challenging events in my life but with a big pinch of humor.
What's one form of self-expression you've been too hesitant to explore? Would you give it a try now?

I am trying something new called glitter art and testing how I might enjoy this new craft.

Very creative art and sounds like a lot of fun, just watched a video about it. I guess one could also take cloth instead of paper and do a fabric wall art piece.

I was thinking about a coloring book picture and picking the color drills to use on a piece of cloth and transferring the picture.
@amiablePeace77 I think a form of self-expression that I've always been hesitant to explore is cooking because I worry I'm not good at it, so I don't even try it. 😂

I believe the biggest obstacle to overcome all things is the worry of "I can't do this" and this refers to cooking too. My first spaghetti with tomato sauce was a complete disaster, the sauce was watery but now it's really good. There are many cooking videos for beginners on the internet. You can do this!
How about starting with doing an onion soup, if that is something you like, just fry a big yellow onion until golden brown and add 2 cups of water to it and a cube of vegetable or if you are a meat eater chicken stock, let it boil for 5 minutes and ready. You can thicken it by mixing 1/2 tsp of flour with enough water to make a paste, add to onion soup let boil again et Voila 😃

Oh this is a hard one.....
Self expression....
My for 20 years of my life I explored various mediums of art.
My personal favorite is pencil, black and white
Very classic.
So it isn't an issue
Clay, did it but never connected. It didn't feel like an extension
Wood working, to much work.
Gardening felt like work
Cooking someone else mentioned, I can cook to survive and live. But I am unsure if it an expression...
I don't know. I would need help to explore

I find art is a wonderful way to express yourself! You must be an expert after 20 years! DIY projects can also offer great craft projects.

Good question! Somehow, I was not hesitant and still am not. I am not shy that way. I've dabbled with many mediums and actually was able to become good at some of them.
In a way, being a listener on 7cups is also a form of self-expression. What do you think?

2 real good friends is more than 100 who just play being friend but do not really accept you. Good that you have people to go to apart from here when needed!
@amiablePeace77 As for myself, I've always been relying on music as a form of self-expression. While I enjoy listening to songs, I sometimes hesitate to share the music I love with others. However, after reading about your experience with writing, I feel inspired to give it a try and push past my fear. Thank you for sharing your story and encouraging others to explore new forms of self-expression.

I love self expression in crafts quilting, candle making, seasonal soaps in fun scents and shapes …. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
In my retirement I am doing less crafts but helping run online a community of a niche community and it’s super fun. There is lots of learning and great connections in my life as well.

Many people have to learn to find ways to express themselves. What are things you like to do like music, dancing, painting, gardening etc.? There are numerous ways we can express ourselves, maybe you haven't found the right one yet?
