When do you find yourself crying?
Some people tear up when someone says a nasty comment to them. Other people cry and cry watching a sad film.

What Makes You Cry?
The fact that I cause so much hurt to others, and being isolated, and whenever I get those "talks" about my lack of "respect" for "real" people, and the stress from real events
Tends to be when I feel overwhelmed with emotion from something that has been building for some time. I try to only do it in private but there are times it has hit me too hard at work, fortunately i work a job where I am off to myself a lot so I can do cry if I need to at work.
I cry when I’m hurt.
i cried today coz I feel distraught.
Life has just been a struggle for me. Battling depression and having to pretend it’s ok isn’t easy
Reminders of what I use to have and that I am now alone, emotional pain that can't be process correctly, finding someone who truly cares for me and not just saying it, not being able to help someone I care about in there time of need, and music that helps me say what I can't.
I use to not cry a lot, then again, I use to be a different person. Hard to know who you are when you when you finally throw away the mask
@VmakVenterol it is so difficult to have all these emotions and try to meet the expectations of another person.
I am finding that when there are not other people to support me I can step up and start doing self care activities for myself. I have got to the point of not counting on others to take care of me. The older I get, the less I see that as a winning strategy to count on others. Unfortunately most people are more concerned about their own situation which leads me to another strategy, caring about others more. I do not neglect my basic needs, but instead try to find ways to help people. It gives me another source of satisfaction and self esteem.
@soulsings
i cry when people comments about me, or when people without no reason judge me, hurts when i become a loner
@iStarlight sometimes I have to just say to myself, "No matter what others think of me, it does not change who I am one bit. They are in pain just like I am and by criticizing me they are only bringing themselves down."
I am miserable when I am angry or judgmental of others. I try to avoid it, so when someone starts to unload on me, then I try to find a safe place inside and not react to what they are saying. Sometimes there is some truth in what they are saying. I am always open to improving myself.
Some of my best moments in life have when I am alone in nature. But I think I need to be with people also.
The only time I allow myself to cry is in my therapist office and that has only been in the past couple months. The last time I cried before that was at my 19 year old great niece's funeral and that was in a room with no one around. I did cry in front of people when my dad passed away 13 years ago. I can remember the day that I said to myself "I will never allow anyone to hurt me bad enough to make me cry again." Now, I am allowing myself to cry a little in my therapist office while we talk about my childhood trauma.
@soulsings i cry when someone yells at me lol, there is no stopping it
@brooklyngs I can heavily relate to that. Luckily, by playing by the rules and being nice to my family, I haven't had to experience that 💗
