@WorkingitThrough2

Hey Working,

Being in the pool sounds good. What are you regretting about holidays? Do you want to talk about it? I'm happy that working and crafting helps you regulate, it does the same to me. But I understand that it's hard to do when your mind is all over the place.

@audienta

Trigger warning: Domestic Abuse

Audenta, thanks for asking. This time of the year Has always brought back bad memories of past events and the many deaths in my birth family that happened. One bad memory is being made to eat Gravy Train dog food for having broken one of our dog's food bowls, and it made my mom angry. Or not getting anything during Christmas. These memories are haunting me.

@WorkingitThrough2 😥 hugggs you ❤❤squeezes you tightly ❤ i wish I could take away your bad memories😞 growing up I wasn't allowed human food. So I now how traumatizing that is for you. And hey! Why not make those bad Xmas memories a reason, to celebrate harder this year. Buy yourself toys and gifts, things that are so unnecessary but you want them any way. Make this Xmas the one to remember, it might help. Just spoil yourself you deserve it ❤❤ gives you a giant tiny hug ❤

Yay, it's great to see how your excitement spreads over all the seasons. And buying yourself more gifts sounds good. Also, your little fountain?

Hello again. My favorite season is probably a tie between summer and fall. I like how warm summer is, especially after the cold winter months. There are also lots of things to do around town in the summer, or places you can go with friends. In the fall, the cooler weather is nice. The changing leaves are very pretty, and you get to slow down a bit more and wear warm sweaters without being too cold like in the winter.

I think I've been doing ok this holiday season. It's been rainy here, so I've been looking for things to do while I'm stuck inside because of the cold. This kind of leads into the third question. I've been doing a lot of things to relax after a long day while also staying a bit active, so I've picked up yoga. After a long day I realize to tense I am, how I've been holding stress. Doing yoga helps me stretch and just have one thing to focus on. Breathing is also important for it, so I get to practice breathing to calm down. Even just once or twice a week is nice to do, along with other things like having some tea or playing a cozy game.

Thank you for your continual check ins.

Oh, I love your description of the summer changing to fall. It makes me like this time too. And yoga is great, I like to do that as well! I especially like yin yoga, have you tried that?

I have not tried that and have not heard of it. What is it?

@underapinetree

In Yin Yoga, you hold passive poses for a couple of minutes which helps your body relax. I really like the YouTube creator Yoga with Joelle who created for example this video including Yin Yoga.

Hi @audienta, thank you for the check in!

1) What is your favourite season and why?

It depends on how I'm feeling when you ask me, but currently I like winter best, because of the snow. We don't get it very much where I live, so it feels like a special time when we do get it

2) How are you doing regarding the holiday season?

I'm hanging in there. Starting to get lower energy like I'm some creature preparing to hibernate

3) What helps you regulate after a stressful day?

Music

@WriteToHeal42

I agree that snow can be really beautiful. And I understand that this time of the year can be really exhausting. I hope, that you find enough time to listen to music and regulate.

@mish3l

It sounds like you really enjoy being in the water - swimming and having a bath. It's great that you found ways to do that in summer and in winter. I hope you find some time to do self-care while you work hard.
