Traumatic Experiences Community Daily Check-in: Friday September 14th

Happy Friday Trauma Community!
We have made it through another week. Whether this week was a good one for you or a struggle, I'm proud of you for getting through it.
Here on the East Coast in the United States, we are watching and preparing for lots of rain and hurricane conditions. If you are also in this area, please check in and let us know you're safe if you can. I know lots of community members may be without power in the coming days and am thinking about those of you who may be impacted.
- How was this week for you on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being very difficult and 10 being awesome? Let us know if we can provide any additional support for you going into this weekend.
- What is your favorite activity to do on a rainy day? Whether it's watching a good movie, building a pillow fort like many of you shared yesterday, reading a good book, or cuddling up with a pet, what makes you feel relaxed and comfy when it's raining outside?
- What is one positive affirmation (if you use them) that you tell yourself when you're feeling bad?

I would say a 6 on a scale from 1-10, my medical condition I had a few hard days but I have good days and hard days with it. On a rainy day/night what I like to do for fun would be to go online/ use the computer. What I tell myself when feeling down is that I am stronger then I think and that it is going to be ok.
@MelanieDaniels63 you are stronger than you know
@Kate Thank you, that is very sweet. Have a great day/night ! Ditto.
Hi guys and @Kate :)
This past weekend Fri Sat Sun and small portion of Monday was about level 8 or 8.5 :) This week itself, Monday through Friday (aka now), has not been even close to an 8. I'll know more next week at this time as to how awful this week really was - my dad was in an accident Monday (10th) and mom is scheduled to leave town (airplane) on Wednesday (19th). So at this time I'm feeling very roped into care-taking - which is only about half way what I actually want to do. The time with Dad might be good ... (actual sigh).
This is a mess. And I don't know who to talk about it with. So most of this week has been 'being Super Platy!' This includes but is not limited to: taking care of others - physical and emotional/psychological, listening to others (mainly? Mom, yeah) as they vent out what is going on for them, and stuffing of my own emotions - more and more :( This is not healthy for me, I know.
I had a friend earlier this week ask me if I need anything. If someone asked me that right now, I'm not even sure I would have an answer. Or my answer would be similar to that of an eight-year-old, for someone to come here, basically guide me through 'getting ready for bed' and tuck me in with a thoughtful farewell, "Good night, dear Platy. Rest well, see you in the morning" or similar. I need some solid, good sleep, guys. Some *real* rest - like the body and soul kind of rest.
I think I'll go back to yesterday's posts and create another blanket fort.
Anyone have some pillows I may use? (Have several blankets, have very few pillows) Anyone have some free hugs? ~ Platy, shy and feeling small
P.S. Thanks for reading. This got long (and I didn't even answer all the Qs!!!). I needed to vent, I guess. <3Platypus

I am sorry platy that all sounds so stressful! Those weeks end up draining a person like nothing else. I agree with someone tucking you into bed ahaha, it's like please someone appreciate how utterly wiped I am!
Well done for being there for people all week though :) Is there anyway you can get some time to yourself??? Because it sounds like you need a bath, cup of tea and bed xD
I shall donate pillows and duvets for the fort!!! :3 Also cookies :3 everyone loves cookies :3.
*Gentle hugs* and I hope you sleep well!!! :)

i wish you all the best
