Ideas and Feedback regarding the Trauma Support Sub-Community wanted
Hello everyone,
As some might have seen, I have the honour of having become the community mentor leader of this sub-community a few days ago. If you want to know more about me, here's my introduction post. I feel happy and nervous at the same time because I know what responsibilities come with this role. I'm also aware that changes can be really scary, especially when you've lived through trauma in the past. Therefore, let's go this path slowly and together.
I would like to ask you for your support. Please let me know through this form what you think about the trauma support sub-community and what ideas you might have regarding it. Also, please consider joining the leadership team, for example as a forum supporter, a room supporter, a chatroom moderator or a community mentor. You can learn more about all these leadership roles here.
If you struggle to use forms or have any questions, feel free to comment under this post or write me a pm.
Take care,
audienta

Yes, I was here when we had a very good trauma group, and we supported one another, but yes, something happened, and it tore up the community very badly, causing a lot of hurt and abandonment feeling. It was with the higher-ups trying to change how things were being done, and it got out of hand until they all left. We all felt free and uncensored. The Trauma Group already has a lot of emotions that can cause more issues than some of the other groups. I think that any and all trauma was lumped together, and I am glad they have begun to separate the different issues because they all deserve special attention to their issues. I hope we can all find a level playing ground for all of us. I left during all the confusion and don't want that to happen again. I think we all love being a part of this community, so hopefully, things can get worked out to everyone's satisfaction.🙏🏽for the right answers for us all❤️
Congrats!!! And thank you for stepping up into the role. I would like to open a dialog with you about something...maybe you can see some things, good or bad, that I don't.
Would it be OK to private the message, since the idea is fully flushed out to a workable solution,
Hi @audienta welcome to the role! A few years ago I was part of a really solid trauma community on here that got dismantled for some reason. We had regular group chats and daily check ins. The listeners were really supportive of the members and the group was pretty tight yet welcoming and it was a really great place until it somehow got dismantled. Some said it was because the group was too solid, some of the leaders started to disappear (or get removed) from 7 cups and slowly but surely the whole thing just fell to pieces. I was totally heartbroken because I had found a safe place to be and share and feel heard. I know a lot of people felt the same, members later left too because they were hurt and disappointed by what happened. I wish that could return, that sense of community is so important, seeing regular “faces” on a daily or weekly basis, being able to connect with listeners who understand trauma and are part of a team who reach out and are available for the members… Im not sure how I feel about being apart of it now because I was so hurt by what happened but I know at the time that community was so good for me so I wish that others could feel that care and support that I got.
I wish you all the very best and thank you for taking the time to read this 💕
@Becca5102
Hey Becca,
thank you for describing this memory and potential vision. I'm really sorry that you got hurt and I will do everything in my power to make sure that this won't happen again. If you want to, I'd be happy to have you in our leadership team or as a part of the discussion or writing team.
Take care,
audienta
@Becca5102
I couldn't agree more. +1
Thank you for taking the time to reflect and give your honest and sage feedback. What you've shared is so crucial to recognize and honor, so TS can mend and become that healing space we have all been needing. ♥︎
@audienta
I would like to have weekly interactive workbook-like assignments that the community could work on as a group dealing with Trauma and working through them as a group. Use books that have worksheets, for example, Dissociation Made Simple workbook, o from youtuber videos
@WorkingitThrough2
That's an amazing idea! Do you have this workbook? Can you pm me about it?
@WorkingitThrough2 Yes!
Healthcare workers and first responders
@DarkGalaxy55555
"Bluelight, Medical & Veteran Trauma Support" is already a topic in the trauma sub-community. Do you think that it needs some changes?
Thank you for your help.
Sorry not good at typing.
I am just a click away.Xx
@purpleSea7109
Of course. Would you like me to contact you?
@audienta
