Not all mothers care about their children.
I never felt love from my mom, i can’t remember a moment when i felt like i have a good loving mother, she would hit me so violently for the smallest things, i remember once she was hitting me with a thin cable because i ate a egg i wasn’t supposed to eat, she would force me to shut my mouth the moment i try to speak, she wouldn’t mind if other kids hurt me, she would side with them, she would say the most hurtful things even tho i was the perfect daughter who was good student, raised her little brother and cleaned the house every day. Anyway she was abusing me physically and mentally and crushed every piece of confidence i had in me and that made me struggle with self esteem now that I’m an adult. However the love that I didn’t get, other kids got. When we used to go to my aunt’s house for example , she would forget that she even has a daughter, she would take her sister’s kids and treat them like her own, she would buy them everything they want, hug them, play with them, saying nice things to them and showing them the affection that i never experienced. Now that I’m becoming an adult These feelings of hurt became anger, she’s still abusing me mentally and acting like I’m not even her daughter, and she still treat other children a lot better than she used to do to us, and i can’t seem to get over it even tho I’m all grown up now.

There is nothing worse IMO to be treated that way and never know why.
Some have said it might be jealousy of the child. or child reminds her of someone etc.
My mother although there was not physical abuse the emotional stuff stayed much longer.... My sisters were screw ups but needed more attention..and she bailed out of messes time and time again ............i was on my own to make sure nothing happened because she will not be in my corner...... .. she was wonderful with other kids and such .... but always treated me as if she was stuck with me.
i just figured middle child syndrome not to give much thought .... when we grew up she would say mean things to me and then said totally different things to others. I believe Mothers like this NEED mental help.
I took her out to lunch and she said it was subpar and hoped she would not get sick........ later in day I got a nasty call from sibling saying "Quit taking her places she was telling us how great it was and that you always treat and made us look bad....."
I found out she played us against each other and mind games on us all ......... that is when i gave up ever trying to please her.

I relate to your post as well. I hope that you are able to find the healing you need as well. I am so sorry that you had that experience to. I am here with you both. We share like stories❤️

I am so sorry that your mother mistreated you. Unfortunately, just because a woman can have a baby does not make her a mother. I too am a product of such upbrings. I always wished that my mother could or would accept me for her daughter but even on her dying bed she was still verbally abusing me.
This is so hard when a mother fails to be a mother to her own child but it happens.I had to go no contact for 10 years and still no change. I agree that it causes low self-esteem and abandonment.
I don;t know what they experience that makes them that way but you are among friends, and we understand how this gets in our way because it can cause resentment and anger, I hope you are able to get the support you deserve❤️
