I was in preschool when my neighbor decided me and 2 other neighborhood kids were ready to be in porn. I didn't know better and I didn't understand what the camera was for. I just knew I didn't like it and I wanted to go home. Gawd I just wanted to go home. By the time that phase of my life was over my identity was nothing more than a broken sex toy. Any guy could use me after that and I wouldn't protest. I just quit existing until they were done. My first real boyfriend was violent enough that I took notice and felt the pain. I was torn between killing myself or waiting for him to do it for me. Eventually he broke up with me after cheating with another girl. I was so relieved to be out of that relationship. But then she broke up with him and he wanted me back. He stalked me for about a year. I was terrified. I'm now 25 and I'm still afraid. Even though I'm currently engaged to a guy who is gentle, respectful, and loves me dearly I'm still afraid of the future.

Your rapist has not taken everything from you. My therapist told me that rape victims get a second chance. We are called "second virgins" because we have been given another chance. He did not take everything from you. Don't give up just because you got raped. You are still worth something. You are still valuable. Telling someone can most definitely help you. I did and I got the help I needed. Now I can have a relationship without feeling anxious and I have learned ways to cope with any flashbacks. If you tell someone, it can help. I will be here if you ever want to talk.

The more times you repeat your story, and yes re-live it, the less it has power over you. That is what my therapist told me and it is so true.

You still have the chance to follow your dreams.

You are SO much more than that, sweetie. You never deserved for that to happen to you.
