The Notebook

Getting netflix recently has done me good.

I started by watching a bunch of indian films i had seen perhaps 20 years back. And i genuinely didnt anticipate the impact they would have on me. It wasnt just nostalgia of my innocent youth and the feelings of love i had back then but a reconnection to myself. A lot of movies made me cry and Ive been so numb since several years to have shed a tear. I just feel like something amazing has transpired. I feel more like myself. Romantic love has been my core ever since I was a child. Along with other things in the mix , of course. But perhaps the adult depressive phase disconnected me from it.

Well - today I made a switch to Hollywood and again beginning from seeing what I have formerly seen but forgotten

So I saw "The Notebook" today. And it wasnt like a modern day chic flic. It had a pure vibe. The fire of love, the hurdles, the reunion - it all just felt so real. I guess they did a good job with the act. And Im really moved. I feel like this is the kind of good place of love I belong in.

The old age togetherness inspite of the memory loss is also cute. Love should really be lifelong and the wedding vows of being together in sickness or health could have a true meaning after all.

I have not been lucky enough yet to attract the desirable kind of love for myself so far but Im a thinker and I wonder if I do get it and we make it lifelong as well - would I want to depart from the world together? Im not entirely sure. But i do wonder about how id want to go away ideally and i feel like it would be good if it had some connection to romantic love as well. Theres an Indian film "Ram Leela" an inspiration from the tale of Romeo and Juliet and there too the lovers quit life together , although thats another heightened form of drama, but they leave a message of love for the community. I do wish to see love being able to revolutionise the world. I think the power of two is mightier than one. When 2 hearts are in love and embark together on a mission, i think that mission gets empowered manifolds through divine blessing... and that kind of mission carries an influential impact on those who are watching... youre leaving a legacy always... Id really like something like this for myself even if it carries a sense of unattainable fantasy and grandeur .... I do think anything is also possible. There is greatness in common lives and I do think beautiful tales of love still exist in the world we live in. Isnt mushiness just very human or is it just me?

Feel free to share about your wishes with respect to what I mention. What kind of romantic love do you envisage? Would you like to leave the world holding your lovers hand or something different?

If youve seen the film Id love to hear your feelings about it. If anyone has any good movie to recommend to me, feel free to tell me about it - could be from any language or genre.

These "decision" moments are the game changers... because its about knowing what your truth is :)

@Creamyyy The Notebook was an exceptionally heartbreakingly beautiful movie. It was definitely one of my top 3 favorite movies back in high school. To this day, I can remember the year, the age I was, where I was, who I was "loving" and longing for then, and my emotional state. When I tell you I can remember this vividly, I mean it. I knew the movie verbatim and and it was one of those movies that made me ugly cry. Romantic love can be such a beautiful thing. The whole loving someone with every single fiber of your being and someone (not only loving you back but) but them choosing you is just a beautiful thing. I know the love between Allie and Noah is fairy tale love-- the kind that people only wish they could experience even just once to know how it feels to be loved unconditionally and chosen. That forever kind of love. That heartbreakingly beautiful love. ❤️ And to answer your question, yes. I found it beautiful how they passed together. Marriage is ordained by God and is supposed to be together. The Notebook definitely covers all parts-- the good, the bad, the ugly, the ups, the downs, life until death. Literally dying peacefully with the love of your life hand in hand = heartbreakingly beautiful, in my opinion.

Ooh ooh! Watch Gilmore Girls before it leaves Netflix at the end of June <3

I want to reply, but I cannot respond, cannot respond to such a question of love, as I have rarely felt the warmth of an other

Not the warmth of being held in a hug, nor the excitement of adventurous journeys together, but the moments where nothing need be said, where being together and making do is enough for them, for me, in the face of lorn

Two can do quite a lot, quite a lot of quiet lamenting, while the world at large seems not to care. So, to share a tear with an other, to let each drop fall, would be more fulfilling than water in a desert, more warming than a kiln in a heatwave, and I shudder to think how I would evaporate when held by a true love

Some say not much, some, no words at all. That need not mean there is no love shared. I require no flowing river of love to love an other, for, an other, to me, is simply amazing in all their unique and shining complexity
