What is your 'comfort' movie?
A comfort movie has many different interpretations for different people.
Most commonly, Comfort movies are the ones that a person can turn to when they are having a bad day and need an escape from everything for a while. Basically, any movie that brings you comfort.
You can have many comfort movies. They also do not necessarily need to be movies, they can be TV shows as well.
What are some of your favorite comfort movies?
Chef is my comfort movie. It makes me calm whenever I watch. It's a combination of things that I love: road trip, cooking, and the internet.
For some reason, I also feel good when watching Paranormal Activity, any of the movies in the series, but especially The Marked Ones. They're low-key horror films but I saw them on better days, so watching them now makes me nostalgic. It's as though I'm back in those times. And there's something about the homemade video angle that does it for me.
@comfortableNight4463
whenever i am anxious i watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S!!!
@frostyCat6690 Yesss I love F.R.I.E.N.D.S too! It's such a classic
@comfortableNight4463 yeah!!! F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
Ok, Ok ... ok, I can see the eyes swimming already. I like listening and watching Bigfoot/Sasquatch videos on YouTube. Some are too outlandish to believe but so many people can't be lying. And I like watching UFO videos as well. Paranormal? hmmm some of that gives me the creeps so I don't watch/listen to much of that.
I also like to watch and listen to cold cases that finally get solved.
To escape from the long day, laughter could heal me the best I think. So my comfort TV show could be "F.R.I.E.N.D.S." I feel a lot better after watching even one episode. The two other show I like to watch which also serves the same genre is "The Kapil Sharma show", it's an Indian comedy talk show and the other one is "Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah", this is also a Indian TV sitcom.
@comfortableNight4463 Monty Python and the Holy Grail! Really, anything Monty Python will do.
@2aphod8eeblebrox Monty Python is the best! I like the Mr. Creosote one 😂
Stardust, based on the book by Neil Gaiman
@Booksonlyburninhell Sounds nice! What do you love about this movie?
There are a few reasons really, mainly because it’s the exact blend of fantasy and technology that I love. It’s got the feel of a world that used to be medieval fantasy, but has since developed past that time.
The romance is great too, the couple actually spend time together before being “in love” and have a really fun dynamic.
@Booksonlyburninhell
It has everything you want from a fantasy movie.
