I believe we are afraid to hope.
Everything seems to be coming to a peak. We have nuclear weapons and weak reasoning skills at the highest levels. It is a recipe for disaster, and I think the aware know this.
It seems like there needs to be a voice of pure reason to clear the fog, simplify the complex so we can understand each other and come to an agreement. That seems unlikely though. It seems almost delusional to have hope for something like that.
There is so much more darkness than light. It is evident in the immense space between the stars, the distance between people. It is a David vs Goliath story, a tale of defeating great evil. And things are uncertain. Hope? Why? Evil seems to rise to the top these days. The best of us are homeless and alone.
Hope is brave. It is an act of defiance, a refusal to let shadow cloud the sun. It is standing up for justice on the grandest of scales.
It is hard to be brave. What reason is there?
But I have hope. I see that reason itself will light the way, revealing truth that is so plain to see. I believe it to be the key to reality.
@Amanda84 Im not afraid of the hope part. I am afraid of the let down when the hope I had for something falls through. Instead of seeing it as a life lesson I ultimately see it as failure. When in fact i know its not failure but it hurts to fail at something all the same . What happens when hope dies? When your hope for a relationship fails? When hope for that job you wanted goes to someone else? When all hope fails what happens? Do I continue to hope for more? Do I work harder? Do i give up? Do I not? Do I start all over again? Im having a lot of marital problems right now. There are so many struggles. I have all the hope in the world that Im going to make it work. What happens though when you want it to work, you want to forget all the bad things but your body and mind wont let you ?

We share a name, and we share the fear.
I desperately cling to hope. I just can't imagine that things don't get better in time overall, through ebbs and flows. Is that not the nature of evolution? Iterative improvement?
I believe if you have hope, you can ride the waves and stop yourself and your loved ones from falling into the water. And even if you do fall in, having hope allows you to swim, to search for the horizon.
The universe really works in mysterious ways. I'm not going to pretend to understand it all, or even some of it. My intuition just tells me that sometimes our greatest hope is hope itself. I don't want to give it falsely though, it's your life, you know the ins and outs. Just do your best friend, breathe, think, take the pressure off. There's not much more we can do!
No I'm not afraid to hope but the thing is it's just fake. Unrealistic and full of fake optimism. And I'm tired now
@Maldiniyj27 I'm sorry you are tired now 🥺 I understand what you mean about fake, life is not all butterflies and rainbows or hearts and flowers, we cannot always be smiling and positive, life can be hard, it can be heartbreaking, challenging, sad, but it's only when we go through this, also, we know to grab onto any peace of happiness we can, that hope is not fake, it's necessary!
@Amanda84
I love this. I understand the feel though, that there is no reason to hope. I think rather than deciding one way or the other, we must talk about it. These feelings come from somewhere, it's worth exploring. It is through the exchange of ideas that truth is revealed.
Personally, I agree with you: hope is necessary for life.
I embody hope. I am hope. They say people with ADHD are plagued with crippling hope.
Yes.
They're is too much joy, even in the world of madness, to not want to have some joy before we go
I am here to have as much fun as possible, safely, and to teach others to do the same.
Hope is forever. <3
@55Trees
I love this so much! I don't even have anything to add!
@Amanda84
Hope can be a powerful and vulnerable thing. It's natural to feel apprehensive about hoping for something, especially if there's a risk of disappointment or heartache. But hope can also be a beautiful and motivating force that drives us to pursue our dreams and desires.

@Heather
Her personal story reflects on hope a lot. Hope she sees this.
My own personal understanding is that hope and faith go hand in hand. She even just waking up the next day is a implication of hope.
"Faith is that which is hoped for which is not seen."
@amicableox0685
I think that it should be noted that fear and faith can not coexist together. It's either one or the other.
You can't serve both both God and mammoth.
So if you manifest something and it doesn't work out, I suppose it could be because of fear which was subdued by a absence of faith and hope.
