Looking for friendship
Hi, I'm 36 and struggling with health anxiety. I feel so isolated and alone as many people do not understand anxiety and the symptoms that it brings. If anyone out there is going through the same or wants to connect, please do.

Well, I'm a bit more than 36, but I deal with anxiety "all the time." I don't like it; my brain is I guess wired so that it makes me worry about stuff like a lot!
I could use a friend who really 'gets' anxiety, too. I'm not fully sure how much help I'd be? but I can certainly listen :) ((offers you hug!)) ~Platy
P.S. I'm glad to see you joined the 35+ group (haha)
Hi there! I am 30 and deal with health anxiety as well. Feel free to DM if you would like to have a chat.
Hi Sally, as I am new to this I don't know how to dm so please dm me 😊
Me neither. I guess it is not an available option
@lavenderFields36 @sally758
Only listeners can begin a dm or private conversation. This is a hard thing when we get to know each other in forum or group chat as members. (Experienced that much, Platy? umm Yes!) There is the MCR - Member Community Room - group chat. You can meet there and talk or at least get to know one another. Also you might want to check out the "Pen Pals" section of the forum. I'm not actively in that yet, but it looks like it might be good for a member to member type of chat. <3 Platy
Just select their name icon then from there u can leave a message hope this helps
@lavenderFields36 i am 17 but struggling from health anxiety since 2 years 💔
Im so sorry you're going through this too. Its so debilitating and stressful 💔
@lavenderFields36 can you tell me about the symptoms you go through?
Of course I can but where do I begin. Tension headaches, tense neck, tense shoulders, chest aches and pains, back aches and pains, pains down my arms, zaps In my legs, pins and needles in my arms, hands, legs and feet, crushing pains in my ribs, reflux and heart burn. It's just so debilitating, some days I feel like I can no longer cope, how many more times do I run to doctors or emergency department. I am so tired and fed up I feel like I'm close to the edge of insanity. I'm thinking of starting medications but I'm worried the side effects will make me worse. Going out my mind.
@lavenderFields36 yes I can relate with you . Sir I would like to share with you that around 3-4 months back , I had went to the ER and there i had my ecg and all done and everything came fine. After that I made many lifestyle and mindset changes under professional supervision after which by god's grace my condition has improved considerably. I mean the symptoms do come but their frequency and intensity both have reduced a lot .
@lavendeFields36 not actually going through same but that isn't the prerequisite to be friends. Right?
Message me whenever you feel like.

Yes a lot of people doesn't understand that it's not just in the mind. I had been taken to the ER due to my anxiety attack because it got really worst.
@lavenderFields36 hi my name is amber im 38 I lost some stuff that I can't never got back it got thrown out I got pinck attacks from it. Im trying not think about tho 🥺🥺🥺
@generousFig1948 that happened to me too...multiple times...or was stolen or taken *cue Liam Nissen monologue* Not just things but dreams, memories and my sense of self. Healing's so hard because in the process so much can exacerbate it, and so much can be wonderful. ThE mEsSiNeSs
Hi I wish I could reach through the Internet and give you all who experienced this a healing hug. This is a situation many don’t think about occurring and the unwelcome tag along that anxiety is, just made the loss almost unbearable. I know the distress because I went through a similar situation. We moved (a family of 7 at the time) my boxes from the attic were accidentally left behind. These boxes contained ALL my childhood through college memorabilia, including my baby book, lettermen jackets from both high schools and college, my state track medal, my conference championship track medals, and many many other items. They also had my oldest two children’s baby books, baby clothes and blankets I had saved, and so many other things that were important to me. Three weeks later, while unpacking at the new place, I realized my items were not there and soon understood they had been left behind in the attic. I contacted the new owners only to find they had BURNED all of the items left behind! Who does that without trying to reach out first?
This was 6 years ago and I still experience intense panic and emotional pain when I think about it. I wake up from nightmares and the sadness of the loss hits me hard. In a way, the move was a fresh start for my family and an escape from psychological abuse, isolation, and toxixity, but I did not want to leave ALL my memories behind. :-/
