Newbie
Hello everyone,
I am new here, and I wanted to introduce myself. I am 44 years old female, struggling with major anxiety at work and at home. Dissatisfied at work, constantly worried about being laid off even tho there hasn’t been any direct communication about that. There has been restructuring and some people have resigned. I overthink a lot, I’ve had to return to work at the office 4x a week and I really hate it. The job market is not great at the moment and I can’t afford to just quit. My anxiety levels rose in May, when all of this nonsense started. I’ve had my anxiety meds adjusted several times, I started to feel better for a week and half and then boom, anxiety and ruminating thoughts again. I just want this all to stop and I just want to feel better again.
So here I am, trying to take it one day at a time, keyword trying.
Thank you for reading.

I truly feel your pain and frustration. I am definitely not one that has any answers and am struggling with too many issues including the anxieties relating to the job market and current employment. There are so many wonderful people here who truly care. Try and stay strong.
@BraveNotBroken Welcome to this community! I'm new too, and 40+, and can deeply relate to feeling unhappy and trapped at my current job, and feeling scared about what's going on in general. I think you made a very wise point about taking one step at a time, someone suggested that to me a while ago and I've found that focusing on one day or one week can be helpful. I've noticed there are many resources here at 7cups (and a also communities (forums)) dedicated to, for example, anxiety. I wish you to find supporting ears and relief here. Please let me know if you would like to chat more. We're all here for each other!
