Small Wins

Heyy Everyone <3,

Lately, I’ve been finding it really hard to get out of bed in the mornings and get started on anything. Most days just feel heavier than others. So I've shifted my focus to the small wins — the little things I manage to do each day, even if they seem minor.

They don’t always stand out, and sometimes you really have to pause and reflect to even notice them. But those small accomplishments add up — and they matter more than we think.

One of my recent small wins: I’ve managed to get in at least 30 minutes of focused work consistently for the past three days. With how much I've been struggling, this small progress actually adds to my positive feelings.

What about you? What’s one small win you’ve had lately? I’d love to hear it 💬

That’s so uplifting to focus on your wins! Big or small their still wins! A friend of mine told me even five minutes is something. I tend to carry the all or nothing mindset and when it nears the end of the day I’ll think “eh forget it” but sometimes doing something even small is better than nothing, then it snowballs into more action. I think my small wins are to going to the library, bookstores, and coffee shops. I want to get over my fear of meeting new people and a finding a potential partner so I’ve been slowly inching my way out.

I want to be working on essays, something that I feel will have more meaningful impact than my poetry and short stories. But I really struggle with rigid writing, and I feel like there's just so much I miss...

But I've been using poetry and short stories to capture my intuitive thoughts as they arise. Each one is a small win! They allow me to get the main thoughts out so I can expand on them later.
