💛 Something that could make life better for me is ......
For me, it would be letting go of the habit to over think things sometimes.
How about y'all? 😊
Being less anxious when it comes to talking in person, not worrying about being judged so much, and dealing with situations better
writing it down
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Trying my best to veer away from these habits:
Overthinking.
Feeling like I don't deserve good things.
Prioritizing people just because I can (even at the cost of myself
Putting myself down amidst triumphs
Stressing over frustrations and failures
Letting people invalidate my thoughts and feelings
Be realistic
Oh my gosh same! For me it’d probably be also feeling less anxious all the time

HONESTLY cash!! I need 9k to get work done on my house property. I need to make roof repairs.
I need to remove two 13 foot trees. biggest problem about one tree in our yard we have two powerlines running through the tree branches. one power line on the LEFT one powerline though the RIGHT.
our house insurance will not cover REMOVAL of the trees because they are not at risk for hitting our house of blocking our driveways. YET both of my neighbors COMPLAIN about these trees. One neighbor has told me hes lived next door since the EARLY 90s THE owners before us lived here for 10 years you couldnt bug them for the tree removal?? (We/my family moved here April 2021 & he is always saying let me know when you plan on removing that tree) AS or the ROOF if I dont have the REPAIRS/ completed and documented by JANUARY. Our house insurance goes up $800 a year and we will not be able to continue with the POLICY we have now. Roof prices only stay the same for 2 weeks last Monday when I requested a roofer to come out he told me $6,500 and everything would be completed in 2 days. BIG PROBLEM my husband only gets paid ONCE a MONTH!!! WHEN we get paid we set aside $300 GAS for cars/food 9/x/10 I have to asking for extension on all the bills because I DONT have cash in our bank accounts! do to the pay period. I have a child. any job i am ABLE to do ALL my money goes towards child care. soooooo WHATS the point of the job!! because then for me to make it to work& daycare I'm pulling money from my husbands Savings.
THANKS FOR THE VENT!!!

Having a strong willpower to complete things on time without procrastinating sigh
Not being so complex but since that seems like wishful thinking: not fearing putting myself first and having to let people down
Hello @heatlightning, I think humans in their individuality are complex beings, and it is okay to have a unique set of beliefs and experiences, you are valid as you are, and I hope you're always surrounded by people who don't make you feel like you're a lot to be with, you are just *you* and that is all that matters. ❤
Standing up for yourself and not letting the fear of letting down others is quite brave, I know it isn't easy to do, however it really is impossible to now let anyone decide for you, or step over you, you do not deserve that all. How do you feel about setting boundaries and being assertive about your feelings in these situations, where you feel you're being pushed aside?
Stick around and observe things. Stop running away.
Be independent instead of codependent on someone else to do the things to do.
Hey @tealBear2472, thankyou for sharing, being observant and staying to analyse things in order to come up with a plan of action, instead of running away from them sounds like a good approach towards many things in life and I'm glad you're recognizing the importance of being self-dependent, sometimes we gotta assure ourselves that we have our own back and make the most out of things. Any thoughts about what ways could you work on becoming more independent? ❤
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
I think I avoided to hang out with my peers and friends because people go out in groups and that makes me nervous. So, I think to be more independent is to go and take a risk to experience with being present with others, even though I'm nervous. Then I won't feel so isolated. I have tried it with some fails and successes, so I'll say yes to invites, and invite some people myself.

What would make life better for me:
... appreciating a lot more what I have.
... living in the present. Not longing for the past or fearing the future.
@imaginativePlane7983
Grounding yourself in the present and being thankful for what you have, sounds great, Plane. It's a struggle not to give future or past a thought, but staying in present definitely is helpful in many ways, saves our braincells too lol.
There's this quote I find quite fitting here, “No amount of regret can change the past, and no amount of worrying can change the future.”
It's easier quoted than done though, I know, so I'm proud of you for recognizing what's needed to make life better for you, and I hope you're taking it one thought at a time moving forward. ❤
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
Thank you for your answer! I totally agree with what you are saying but I am afraid I am not making any progress myself. I am stuck amd afraid to take any steps further. Or I don't know how to.
Anyway, thanks! :)
@imaginativePlane7983
Completely okay to not know what to do or how to do, feeling stuck is fairly valid specially when the mind isn't at peace, there's a lot of thoughts rushing at once and clarity or even the means to reach there seems non-existent. No progress, mhm, I see you've joined the community recently, you're participating here, voicing your concerns and being open to seek support ~ this too is progressive enough, you did take so many steps to move forward without even realizing, isn't that something to think of hehe? I for one, am really proud of you for trying your best.
Progress may look different to different people, but we here to only count ours, and you've come farther already being here, recognizing what could help in making you/ your life feel better (even if by a small amount), now we take the next steps in realizing what can help us reach closer to these set goals. For instance you mentioned being appreciative of what you have, so have you considered trying gratitude journaling or expression of any sort? It could be something as simple as listing right in this moment what you're thankful for, doesn't even have to be grand, we can be grateful for what we eat, something kind someone said to us, being able to use technology like this etc whatever comes to mind.
For staying in present, a common suggestion I hear from people is mindfulness practices, what are your thoughts on the same? Perhaps something else that may help you feel more connected in the present. Different things work for people differently, we can always experiment and see what works for us.
It is okay to take your time through things, you're allowed to be at your pace always, we never have to rush through this. Being gentle and kind towards ourselves is a good primary (and continous) goal to have. ❤ And you're very welcome!
