Is this for real??
So I was just on my L account and looked at the list of active listener and I see someone with 29, yes 29 active chats
Where is the quality 7 cups? Even taking into accunt the ghost chats this is just insane
It's easy to see why there are so many members feeling unheard and neglected
I understand your frustration, but know that all listeners are different, and not everyone is going to take twenty-whatever chats. Most of the time, the people on that list generally have 1-3 chats, which I think is acceptable.
If you can remember the listeners name, though, Id recommend submitting this form for them: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd7iMwmOfMPM1KTSjFz3OTPFDOF30agKeBeahUl5cj5f8ahKQ/viewform
That way, a mentor will be able to chat with them about quality over quantity and perhaps help them grow as a listener :) After all, thats what were all here for - To grow.
I often get chat requests from people who never reply. I send a few messages and then give up, but I leave the chat "active" in case they come back. Mostly, they never come back and I chat to someone else. I suppose the system thinks these are real chats, even though no messages are being sent.
Well, I usually log on here for an hour or so, and typically I might accumulate three or four ghost chats like this before I log off. I know some listeners remain logged on all day. Over the course of maybe 10 hours, 29 ghost chats seems perfectly possible to me.

I questioned this before, but I was told that that is how many chats they've had within the hour, not the amount of chats they're currently talking to. It is possible to have many ghost chats recurrently and they may be taking 3 or more chats at a time or maybe they're having casual chats with members they already know. If you're concerned, you could take a screenshot and e-mail 7 cups about the issue and share your concern with them. They may explain it or speak to that listener but eventually, the listener will hopefully realise that it's not possible to help many people in one go.
