Welcome Committee Announcements (Templates & Welcome Lounge)!

Hi, team!

I just had a couple things to bring to your attention!

1. Some of you have asked if you can contribute your creative welcome messages and the answer is a resounding YES. I would love for us to have more variety in our messages for the team to experiment with. If you've got something that works for you, please PM @Amy or me your text and we'll add it to our team document (found HERE).

2. The Welcome Lounge. I mentioned this briefly in our monthly update. We are hosting a room locked to all Newbie badge holders, doubling as a space to ask questions and connect with fellow new users/the community. This room is open to Open Arms holders, which is us! I am thinking through ways to incentivize team members showing up to this (and if you have suggestions I am all ears). In the meantime, I wanted to point you to this if you're feeling up to swinging by and helping a newbie every now and then. Your insights, should you spend time in the room, would also be very very useful to share with us so we can identify opportunities to improve this room, and retention, etc.!
