@Laura I absolutely LOVE that quote! To me, it is basically saying be the person you are and don't change because of what another person might think of you. Those who truly love you won't care that you are a unique individual because they will embrace that person and help you shine even brighter! :) Great quote Laura!!
living in critical or negative environments we tend to hide our true personalities, but we often don't realize that the new images we create are also judged in the same manner. because it was never about the context of the image itself, but the peoples enthusiasm about showing prejudice.
Those who matter always do so because they love you... And love knows no boundaries or judgements.. It only has acceptance! Being able to open up to someone who only simply accepts you in the entirety and without judgement are worth keeping along.. Where the mind knows no fear...

Love it - echoing the above - those who love you accept you for who you are, and dont try and change who you are no matter what you think and feel and accept you flaws and all. They accept you are the unique person you are, and allow you to be you. We can't all believe and think and feel the same and they allow you to be you and dont try and change you to believe as they do. It does not matter to them that you may have a different opinion or that your feelings may be different, because we are all unique individuals - have to put this lol Just like fox in socks by Dr Seuss was unique and to some people was garbage but you know what, I wouldnt change it because it makes me smile LOL

@Laura If only the world worked like that! Unfortunately those who matter often do mind when we say what we feel. A part of living in a human society (including this one) is adapting to its norms and expectations.
I have this quote framed and hung on my wall.
This is an amazing quote. To me it means that, you have to always be yourself. It doesn't matter what others think. Never change yourself, so people might like and accept you. The right will always be there for you. At the same time, we learn to keep the right people in our lives and keep a distance from the toxic ones.
It's an absolute truth. We must all understand that not everyone is meant for us, meant to have in our lives. But those that are wonderful for us FEEL wonderful for us... and you should never feel guilt about feeling wonderful.
